cougaree
Hi there, I am planning on a trip to Canada this summer. Just wondering if someone can give me some detailed instructions what I need to do / what would happen to me if I wear a rep for the entire trip. What about the sterile "homages" (like homer's or vac's MM homages)? Thanks!

Nothing, absolutely nothing will happen to you (Unless you bring a bag full of reps, then you might (just might) get into trouble. Wearing a rep itself is not a crime, and there are certainly no cumstoms or policemen specially trained to be able to spot reps on peoples wrists.... In most cases one would have to be somewhat of an expert to spot our watches as reps, and in many cases you need a loupe So, wear you reps and dont worry at all!! // Mike
highoeyazmuhudee
I live in Canada and have had several reps delivered here. I've never heard a peep from customs, even when my items are marked as "watch" and is clearly shipped from China.
greg_r
I fly to the US and/or Canada regularly - and have done for years. I've been wearing a rep for every trip for the last 7 years at least. Nobody cares. You might have a problem if you were to pack several spare watches, but I only ever take the one I'm wearing and it never even gets a second look. cc
I travel a bit for work and never have any issues with my watches. Like Greg_R said, nobody cares. I usually wear mine thru the metal detectors and have never been asked to take it off. You'll be fine
cougaree
Sweet! Thanks! Do you need to file E29B document to make sure they know that I didn't just buy the watch from either country. I certainly don't want to get taxed on it neither
cougaree
I just bought a Breitling Skyland (perhaps v3). I'm thinking it would be kinda nice to wear it while flying...

fakemaster
They're checking watches now? Damn Mcdonald's needs to stop laying people off.
plaifender
as people have said... absolutely nothing would happen. I don't think gen owners go through airports with proof that their watches are genuine just in case police stop them... (OOPS I FORGOT TO BRING MY BREITLING WARRANTY CARD!!) As long as you're not bringing 30 watches through (gen or rep for that matter) i don't think they'd think twice or care whether your watch was fake or not... p.s. Do you think they'd stop you in the airport if you had a fake Louis Vuitton wallet?
casanile
I'm abroad on all continents 5 times per year. Nothing will happen to you, I never wear a gen for a travel.
