  1. EDIT: dluddy and Slai beat me to it.
  2. If the seller was the one that provided the reference number (and he got it from the caseback), then it is a rep. CAF2010 is for the black dial. The silver dial is CAF2011. The blue, silver and black reps all share the same caseback with CAF2010 as the number (which is only correct for the black one).
  3. Yep, fake. Model number is wrong (CAF2010 is for the black dial) and the gen comes with a square inner box, not a round one. Reported.
  4. My controls-->options-->board settings-->board display settings-->turn off avatars-->change my account options Thank you for your comprehension
  5. I too am using a Powershot (A630 to be exact). I guess I will play with the lighting somemore. My issue is that while my shots seem to be OK, I always seem to be able to see the crystal. For instance (see below collage of your's and mine). Look at mine. You can see that the crystal has sort of a haze on it (reflection), while on your pic you can't see the crystal at all! Thats the shot that I am looking for, where it looks like there is not even a crystal present. I'll try some different angles or maybe try to difuss the light a bit better. Thanks!
  6. By-Tor, Sorry to be off-topic, but that pic is just absolutely amazing quality. I have tried all kinds of different settings on my camera (not an SLR, but still has lots of great functions) and I still can't mimic that quality. Did you use a polarizing filter for that shot?
  7. A couple of quick shots of my gen Aquaracer:
  8. Exactly! Also, the inner bezel ring on the rep is painted blue, while inner bezel on my gen is annodized. I will stop pointing out differences for a bit. I'll let others chime in before I say everything that I saw. But I must say, aside from the dial color it is VERY hard to tell the rep from gen unless they are side by side.
  9. Hi doc, this was just a quick lunch break meet to do a quick comparison. Matter of fact, the pictures were taken on the dash board of his car! World Traveler and I will get together again and try to do a full photo shoot from all angles for everyone to see.
  10. Hi By-Tor, the color is definately the dial, not the AR. It appears that the rep dial is about 2 shades darker then the gen.
  11. You are absolutly correct about the dial color, but the rep is not always on the right! We switched them up a couple of times to see who we could fool. For the record, my gen is the one with the 1:40 time. @World Traveler----good times! We will have do it again. Thanks for posting the pics up
  12. Hello, I have a great guy that I go to in NoVa (Herdon to be specific). He has no issues working on reps. He has serviced 2 of mine thus far (with ETA's) and his work is great and prices are fair. PM me if you would like some info.
  13. Another fabulous review By-Tor. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Just a quick note about the case back engravings. While they are close, they are not correct. 2010 is for the black dial, and the blue dial should be 2012.
  14. Oh, and I would take the one on the right. The braclet on the left one just does not look quite right for some reason.
  15. Funny, they look aligned correctly to me....
