Guys, I am sorry for the extended downtime, but something that is not supposed to happen, happened last night. Since I have been working all day trying to recover lost data (without succeeding), I will just make this short post and get back with a better explanation tomorrow. In short, we managed to get all of our raid disk arrays "poisoned" with corrupt data that spread to all disks. How this happened, I have no idea, but this effectively killed our web and DB-servers. I have been trying all day, on a shitty cell connection, to restore data, but a couple of hours ago, the techs at the datacenter basically told me to give up. So the forum has now been restored to our last "healthy" backup and all of our servers have been reconfigured and set up from backups. Because of this, about 12-24 hours worth of content is gone. So sorry for any inconvenience when it comes to PM's posts, etc. Go ahead and resend your PM's and repost your great posts. I'm off to bed

Hello gents. I have been lurking for a while using this excellent forum as a research tool into rep watches and thought it was about time I joined and gave kudos to everyone in here that makes this such a great place. Not sure how many Aussies we have on here, but we now have one more. I am still learning about watches and own mainly gens, but I have this uncontrollable obsession for Panerai's. Knowing I could never afford a gen, I started looking at reps, which led me here etc..... Anyway, enough rambling, off to do some more research.

Wow...I have had this waaay back. It's a really nice tank watch. The star burst detail on the dial is cool and is captured in the way the date window is shaped. It ran smooth when I had it and had no problems.

The Volcano in person is a dud. Nothing about it matches nor does it have any design harmony. Of course, my opinion. I own the Lava. It is classic in color scheme, very much like the 70s/80s Orfina/IWC Porsche Design.

Ha ha! I knew one of those nasty things would pop after my comment! Scary that those are actually real watches!! My prob with the others is the proportions. They just look odd to me. It's all good! Where are you sourcing the case and band/end pieces?

It was a toss up for me between #1 and the middle one but after looking at them both for a while I will have to agree with everyone else the middle one takes it. Good luck with should be a great project.

Don't listen to Josh and Andrew about anything Noob related. There's a long story behind it, but essentially they don't like each other and can't get their products as easily as other dealers.
