  1. I've spent so much on watches that I now live in my car. Therefore, It's the only place I can take pictures.

  2. I don't get some people. Why are you spending $700 on a rep if you can't even tell the difference between it and a $200 rep? Maybe it's so you can have "the best and most accurate" (under $1000, of course), but why can't you be arsed to learn --actually learn, rather than check through a list of features (i.e. don't ask me about recessed subdials if you don't even know what a subdial is)-- a few things about this watch that you claim to be obsessed with? Is it so you can fool your friends, who most likely wouldn't know the difference between a $7000 franken and a $100 F-grade quartz? And if you actually ran into someone who knew their stuff, do you really think they wouldn't be able to suss out that you've only got the most superficial knowledge of this supposedly rare watch you're wearing? I'm fine with helping people who are genuinely eager to learn about watches. But I have no time for people who demand to be spoon-fed hard-earned lessons while exhibiting all the diligence and attention of a toddler at Sunday Mass. Rant over.

  3. the TC watch is so incredibly spot on i really wouldn't worry about it. the biggest tell if you physically handed it to someone would probably be the rotor noise or the direction in which you set the time with the crown. but really only a rolex collector is likely to notice that

  4. When I first came to these forums I was annoyed when people told me they didn't sell to members. Now I get it. I'd much rather sell at a lower price to someone I know and trust than take a chance on selling to a brand new member.

  5. Frankens are the way to go- here's one with a gen white dial These were built around 2007-8 when you could get case and dials for $200 or so, put in a swiss eta and a few other parts and build a nice franken for $500 or so Now days it's more expensive, but you can still build these frankens if you're patient in looking for parts.

  7. Like Tom said, unfortunately no good ones. Genuine used have gotten ridiculously expensive. 700-900 USD for one, and it will probably have some wear and stretch. Some of the supply houses sell unmarked bracelets, with them, you can use the links, gen endlinks and clap and end up with a nice bracelet, but it's still going to cost several hundred bucks. Unfortunately, the day of the 400 dollar gen bracelet has gone the way of the Carrier Pigeon!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
