  1. My friend, I think it looks just great, wear it. Honestly you seem like the type of guy that's pretty much a perfectionist and nothing less that the real thing will do, I know because I'm the same way, I buy reps and more reps looking for the perfect modded watch that looks 99% like the real deal, but it's that 1% that kills me, it's just not right and I know it. Nobody else other that a WIS gives a rat's behind about your watch, and if they do you can always tell them it's a rep and then direct them to this forum. Enjoy the watch for what it is, looks like a killer ND Sub! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. I use xbmc set up by a serious geek! However it uses a list of links to stream and the one I always pick from the list is vodlocker, consistently works. Here's a link for anyone to use with any device that has a browser. It's not very convenient to use for shows because they are harder to find withought the help of xbmc but for movies or a recent episode it's great http://vodlocker.com/?op=search Just search for whatever you want and stream

  12. Thank guys, it has thin lugs but I couldn't say no with that dial at that price I'm happy!

  13. ...at least or me! In 2012, when DW was still reliable, I commissioned him to produce a 6265 black dial 'non-Sigma'. The one that's pictured in the RDALB Book: I paid for a prototype dial, which was delivered to me a few weeks later. A nice dial, even though the subdial paint was kinda fragile and already fainted at two subdials. Who gives right? It's vintage after all. Then communications got rocky and DW disappeared... So I was left with one dial, even though a lot of members wanted one back in the days. Anyways, I started gathering parts again and kept them warm and cozy for more than another year Yesterday, after weeks of tweaking, filing and re-luming - I finished her. Parts: Cartel 6263 reshaped Cartel hands relumed DW dial DW bezel Genuine coronet Genuine 702 crown Genuine T21 Athaya tube Cousins UK pushers The greatest thing for me is that I was able to make the Cousins pushers work. Don't ask me how, as it was an ugly fight. However, the pushers work and the chrono runs and resets perfectly! Now, to the pictures:

  15. If you've ever reshaped a mid case, one of the toughest mods to do properly is being able to cut bevels that have crisp/sharp edges. Here's an example of stock Yuki 5513 case lugs. Note how the edges are slightly rounded and the satin finishing on the top of the lugs have bled over to the bevel itself. Not cool: After spending some time on my lapping machine, here's what (I think) bevels on a 5513 should look like. Lugs have been slightly thinned, repolished, satinized, and bevels cut last:

  16. So here's the story for those who's interested in a nutshell: I'm a cash strapped Rolex WIS, with no aftermarket dials good enough to put in your rolexes. Thus, I thought I'll give pad printing a whirl First I've bought a very old pad printing machine for $70 off you know where: Then, with my trusty inkjet, I've printed some film positives of a dial I've made myself from some scans off some auction site. I've made a couple of plates, and screwed it on with some c-clamps. *skip techinical stuff* and arrived at the final result: The problem was that the ink was not picked up by the pad. And this could mean a number of issues: At first I thought I've made the plates wrong. So I've tried remaking the plates with some modifications to increase the etch depth, it turned out worse than the first plates. After some research however,it turned out that I've made the plates correctly to begin with. After a while, I've figured that the ink might be the problem since I've used some cheapo oil based paint with liquin additive. But again, after some more research, it turns out that this indeed does work. Finally, I've narrowed down the culprit to the biggest problem of all :the pad. Which, by my estimates is about 15 years old. Thus, i've ordered a new pad which unfortunately will come in a month or so since it's custom fitted for my very old machine. Anyways, if you ever wonder what a red 1016 explorer look like, wonder no further: (butchered the bad plates)
