  2. Well, I could achieve a very futile dream : have all three major bodies evolution of the basic sub. Square CG, Pointed CG and round CG. So similar, yet so different !

  3. the old 'tincture of time' method is great bleaching might work. with sandpaper etc. you might see too much bleaching at the edg good idea to use a bleached black insert for a blue dial, as blue is difficult to work. looks great the tudor! i put some nicotine on my blue dial, before in work after with the dial i am fine.

  4. Or, you can use the old "tincture of time" method. Here is mine. Took 28 years, but it came out pretty good!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. So the hands arrived yesterday but I was able to pick it up at the concierge only tonight. I have just finished fitting it on a spare movement with my service dial. I'd say this is the way to go! Hour and second hands are clones of TC's in shape, length, width of the lume areas, diameter of the lollipops etc. The minute one possesses the same width and lumed area but is definitely longer thus looking much better on a 1016 than TC's. Here are a couple of shots: sent forn mungalaxy jote 3 usong tapatalk and this crappy onsc4een keyolboars

  7. Clark's hand looks spot on but that could depend on the angle from the which the pic was taken. Alligoat: Does the minute hand reach past the minute marker? TC hands: Perfect for a 16610 build, not so for a 1016. Would he accept crafting a set with different specs upon an order of, say, 100-150 pieces? I (empirically) doubt it as he is too involved with his project but I'd love seeing this happen anytime soon! Droptopman rules! Your mention about JoeyB got me on the right track: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/132246-using-a-2836-as-a-base-for-a-small-hand-gmt-project/?hl=joeyb#entry971552 Unfortunately this is a GMT hand and not a minute hand but from a conceptual point of view there's no difference as far as I can see upon my very limited knowledge of such things. I'm off sawing my TC hands!

  9. Since a saw the 1675-3, I started a quest to find the perfect rep. But as many of you know, It's pretty difficult to find good reps of the 1675 (even more difficult for the 1675-3 and - So I start looking everywhere I can. I finaly found what I was looking for in that forum: RolexAddict's 1675 projects I dicided to contact the 1675 Guru, and suprise! the guy lives near my place! we met, sympathized, and my project really began I still started a topic on the replica-watches-guide forum, but I'm glad to share with you what may be the first 1675-3 nipple dial of the rep history 1st piece I found, the main one: the dial (gen) A bit damaged, but let's say that's cause of time then, I ordered a crown and tube (gen) after a while, 2 importants pieces arrived. A 25-116 Clark crystal, and the famous 1655 from Josh, with a great DG3804 movement, smooth 21.6k bph, and reliable. As you can see, the guy was perfect (clones?... ), he put 1675 hand on the watch Next step was a bit complicated: the modding of the case. I let the job to RA. He modded the case and crystal to fit, and made a simulation with his own bezel assembly: Last step (for now) was to send the hand to a store that is specialized in gold platting: This is where I am today. Next week, hands will be relume, full bezel assembly, case back and bracelet will be ordered. Then, I'll have to send the bezel to the gold plating store, and finish the construction. I just a little worried about movement, I made a little mistake and probably broke the keyless work... If that's right, I'll ordered a new movement from CousinUK. More to come next week C. I
