  1. The movements have gotten better for the hobby but let’s not forget they are cheap and not reliable. The sa3135 is probably the one that comes too mind. All the noobs I got, they ran great for a little while then issues. Low amp bad reversing gears. Massive tension on the stem. Stem breaking. But man, when it ran well it was great. Now good luck getting parts for it. The A2824 seems too be the way too go if Rolex changes the movement on subs to their new movement. It will just need a nice cleaning and service. Realistically a real new 2824 or a SW200 will probably be a better deal. They both can be had for under $150 and last forever. When it comes too a 3186. Converting a Sh3135 is the best way too go or real Rolex movement. Both of those options are expensive but only reliable CHS option. The China CHS are non reliable. One thing I heard is if you leave the GMT hand alone that it will work and people have had theirs for awhile. What we need is noob or JF to make a case that can take a 3186. That would be amazing jump for this hobby.

  2. You are one of the top Rolex gurus in our rep communities, not just RWI @occb2, and of course, your knowledge, sharp eyes (despite you not agreeing), expertise and experience are always welcome here sir. I forgot who it was that said it in another thread, but the different forums are like different pubs in the same village and that is so true. RWI could be temporarily down, but no hacker can stop the exchange of knowledge, friendships and watches from carrying on. Thank you for sharing your insights and expertise, and your moderator status at RWI is well deserved and long overdue.

  6. Yes, there is, but avoid them like the plague right now, they are all flawed with issues relating to the hour hand adjustment gearing.

  17. Here is a couple of pictures of a reworked yuki rivet bracelet Mounted on the bracelet is a gen clasp cover and the yuki cover is the one beside it. Can't say for sure if the yuki clasp cover is of the better and newer batch but as it was bought quite recently it might be. As @Yllekp wrote and you can see in one of the picture, using an gen clasp cover on it makes a huge difference, it's not only the coronet that differ on the clasp cover between the gen and the yuki one but the total form and shape of the clasp cover is much better. I can take no credit for this work on this bracelet as it was done by someone else, just showing the difference as it could be of interest.

  20. His dials look good but the 6 and 9 markers are worse than the noob ones. They are way to wide. Wish factories or this TD would fix this issue. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
