Hi all. It is your long lost admin, just stopping by to tell you that it is time for me to say a final goodbye to the watch forums and to RWG. Life has thrown me some pretty heavy curveballs for some time and I have been to hell and back several times over the last years. Returning here and seeing that Nanuq had passed away was also a shock! Not going to elaborate more than that, but all of this has for a long time left me with no other choice than to focus 100% on real life and only doing what was necessary to keep the forum updated, either when something broke and somebody reminded me to fix it or when I had the time and energy to pass by and update things. These forums have been an important part of my life for so many years and I have had the pleasure of getting to know people all around the world, so writing this fills me with immense sadness. But there is a time and place for everything! It has been a pleasure being your admin and being a part of so many peoples lives. Now, this also means that I will be putting RWG up for sale. One of those curveballs was a business partner who screwed me over and left me in some serious debt and hopefully somebody will see the potential in a forum with 75.000+ members and perhaps be able to renew the forum and monetize this properly. Im so sorry for Bobs family first and foremost, and the forums enormous loss as well. Bob always talked about his family, and he had my deepest respect. Bob was an exceptional person, always kind and inclusive. He made me feel at home here. I enjoyed going back and forth with him about where was more dangerous to live, Alaska VS Florida. There was always something really funny to be said there, guaranteed to crack us up. I'm sure he is already harassing the bears in heaven, or vice versa. Seeing another one of the old school guard gone is truly heartbreaking and frankly, startling. Time waits for no man. I'm glad Bob kept track of his with a double red, he always raised the bar.

Just read this sad news. I regard it as an honour to class Bob as a cyber friend for many years. We corresponded over the last 15 years or so and it was always a pleasure to hear from him. I will miss him. Love to his family. RIP 'Nook! DP

Wow, just found this. As one of the original members and Admins here, I can truly say Bob was one of a kind. A great person who loved watches. Amazing how fast time flies, but here we are. Sorry for your loss...

Bob turned me on to Doxa almost 15 years ago. He was fantastic. He will be missed. I will never forget him.

This is sad. I remember when I was a noob and RWG was my first and favorite forum. Nanuq always took the time to reply to my posts and for sure some of my questions were silly. I haven’t been in the forum in a while. Reading this made me tear up. Your dad was an asset in many ways to everyone he knew. Always an incredible source of all good human qualities and a great mentor for most of us. Lovely sense of humor as well. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
