  1. I read a lot, but seldom post (so you probably don't recognize me). Even so, I appreciate your humor and knowledge Dave. I'm glad you're here.
  2. Have you read this 'possible' solution? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=67644&hl= I, too, want an IWC Portuguese, but I don't want a watch that's prone to failure. If this really works, I may pick one up. A little Graphite, some AR on the Crystal (maybe a date wheel swap) and I'd have a pretty sweet watch.
  3. Does anyone know of a source for a tool to remove the strap from the Dewitt Academia? The screw head is pretty unusual (see picture) and I'm having difficulty finding the correct tool.
  4. Welcome, The comments I've seen so far have been excellent, you should listen to these guys, I've learned a LOT from this forum! Just a quick note about the Bell & Ross. I have a BR 03-92 Replica, which I love even though it has flaws (poor lume and fake screws on the back are the two that spring to mind). Having said that, I have yet to run into anyone who has EVER seen a Bell & Ross before and the few people who have been interested enough to take it in their hands and look at it closely, have NOT identified it as a replica. In my personal experience most people don't know squat about Bell & Ross, let alone know how to tell a fake from a genuine. A good lume job, however, would sure be nice.
  5. This is why I read these forums! Thanks for taking the time to post this comparison.
  6. I found that a .050" Allen Wrench (aka Hex Key) works well for pushing out the plastic tubes from the holes in the sides of the strap.
  7. Nice pictures, thanks for the review. I love DeWitt watches and have wanted one for a long time (but couldn't afford one). I'm amazed that a rep is even available (and such a nice rep). I just ordered the Grey/White Academia Chronograph from Josh at Perfect Clones. If anyone would like pictures, let me know and I'll try to post them when the watch arrives.
