  1. It depends on the watch and how really good the rep is. But I don't think I would spend more than $500 on any one rep at all. I own a gen Rolex Seadweller that I spent $5,000....I know it's a gen and love it. The Reps to me are for variety and I can't see spending much more for a rep...but with that said.... If there was a rep of a Rolex Daytona that was perfect with the rehaut and all.....i'd be tempted to spend under a grand to really have something special... Or like a really amazing two tone rolex with solid gold end links and gold that isn't plated...I'd spend more and close to one grand on that...it all depends. I've yet to see a two tone model stay looking good and be solid gold...if they can do that on a Rolex Two Tone...i'll be in line...so far it's been folklore...and also a Daytona with a correct rehaut and movt that isn't laden with problems... So in summary...it depends on the watch and the person who wants to wear it or sell it...
  2. Unfortunately, you are at fault now. You expect him to replace the watch or refund your money with no watch back to him. You should have sent it EMS with a tracking number. Sorry that you had a bad experience but If I send something without tracking...and it doesn't get there...who is at fault? My advice is to buy from Joshua.
  3. Thanks Offshore. Do I unscrew the little screw on the bezel and put a tiny bit of loktite on it and then screw it back in? Never done this before but I want to be sure all these parts don't leave me... Thanks!
  4. I just received a Skyland Avenger from Joshua and it's awesome. I want to make sure that none of the little parts fall off (like the little screws, pushers, etc. Is there any advice on using a adhesive to secure these things. Like Lok Tite or something else to make sure nothing falls off. I'm a bit nervous about it as my other Rep EVO had the pusher falls off... Thanks guys
  5. I was told by Joshua that he can't get pushers. He would sell me an empty case set and that was my only option. I don't know other dealers. Now that Col. found one for me I am good Thanks and THANKS AGAIN TRAILBOSS!
  6. Awesome Col. Thank you so much. Really appreciate it.
  7. I got it today and it wasn't even updated in USPS that it cleared customs. Joshua did it again with a great product and fast shipping! I l am back into the rep world!
  8. Just got this today from Joshua! I got the bracelet and the croc strap...currently on the Croc strap and I love this watch!
  9. Mine just arrived in NYC today at 9:42am....I guess customs is next and my house is after that...I really hope I get it by Monday before my meeting. USPS has the latest update for mine...EMS is still saying in China. So...these things are def not perfect.
  10. Thanks...I'm hoping you are right. I have a meeting for work in NYC and I leave next Tuesday morning. Would love to have the watch to wear at the meeting. My boss also loves watches and he wears rep vintage Rolex's...it's cool and we'd have a good time talking about it...
  11. Thanks. I went to USPS and says the same thing. I know it will get here eventually but as Tom Petty said..."the waiting is the hardest part"
  12. Well still no update today from EMS...I was hoping to have my Skyland this week...
  13. Offshore, thank you so much for your help in locating a pusher for me. If only Phoband had done this for me a year ago... I really appreciate the help and this only shows me how great the moderators and admin are on this site. To help someone who had a bad experience and to try and make it right...so cool. Thanks!
  14. I ordered my watch on December 28th. I got the tracking the next day 29th and my package says 2009-12-30 19:56:00 GUANGZHOU Posting 2009-12-30 20:35:00 GUANGZHOU Despatch from Sorting Center 2009-12-30 22:12:00 GUANGZHOU Arrival at Sorting Center 2009-12-31 00:18:00 GUANGZHOU Despatch from Sorting Center I'm hoping for arrival this week in the USA. I have a big meeting at work next week and would to have my new Skyland on wrist. I'm not worried but just showing these things all have different times to post and get sent.
  15. What a joke...you have an answer for everything and you couldn't possibly be wrong. Sure, you asked around on the forum to get backing so you didn't have to take any responsibility. Fact is I contacted Joshua directly who I did have somewhat of a purchase history from and he said you CAN'T buy just a pusher. You have to buy a whole new case set. If you don't believe me...find another dealer on here who can sell me just a chrono pusher and I will take back everything I wrote. I know it wasn't my fault because I'm not some noob rep buyer...I was a member of the other forum for multiple years and bought plenty of other reps with NEVER having chrono pushers falling off. Sure...it can happen...just like a package can go lost...but when you start adding up all the evidence...perhaps it's not everyone else's fault for what is being alleged and perhaps it's you... I've moved on...I never bothered you again after that incident. Regarding calling me an idiot...I'll ignore it...but do it again...my next post won't be as mature. Thanks
  16. Great story and sorry to hear it happened to you. I just happened to buy a watch from Phoband as well. I went to pick it up from him at his house...(that's another story)....and my gut kept telling me to not buy the watch because all these other watches in his place were being worked on...crystal missing from being re-lumed...parts...etc...but the Breitling EVO looked good to me so I paid and left. Literally 3 days later...I am traveling in the airport and look down at the time...and the damn chrono button is gone. It just fell off. It then hit me...something seems odd here. Phoband claimed the watch was bought for his Dad but he didn't like it...(what's not to like?). Anyway...when I contacted him about the watch and wanted my money back...he also flipped and said he would only try to help me if I got another part and he would get his watch guy to fix it for me. Getting a part would cost me another $70 plus shipping from any of the dealers for a new watch case... I just did what I felt was best...chalk it up to experience and know not to ever buy something from Phoband. I still have the watch sitting in my box...no chrono pusher and no use for over a year...money wasted... That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  17. Yes you never did anything wrong...prisons are filled with guys in their cell all claiming...man, I didn't do anything....who knows. Interesting you keep posting here although you are going to another forum. Seems to me you are running from a reputation just to do what perhaps others have done...get a bad rap and go somewhere else for newer unknowing members...
  18. This is truly disgusting. A man is sick with cancer and you write something like this...I don't care what he did on this forum...the guy isn't hitler or someone who killed people...jeez... As I said...I bought plenty from RBJ and he was always a stand up guy. Disgusting post.
  19. Interesting thread to say the least... Glad to see your health is on the mend Phoband. Back problems are a not fun... Without knowing the details...it sure seems to me that there are two sides to every story and perhaps you had some responsibility in the status with the Admin? Just saying.... I know my story about buying a watch from you and then 3 days later...the chrono button falling off and then when I contact you about it...you claim if I buy another case... your watch guy will fix it for me...but you said it was my fault that it happened (I was just wearing the thing like everyone else does)...you even went on the forum to try and get others to side with you... This is all the while when I had a feeling something was wrong with the watch when you sold it to me...because most of the watches you had were all taken apart as you seemed to like to put them back together after reluming and all kinds of other mods. You had some story that the watch was your dads but he didnt like it.... I still have the watch sitting in a box unworn for over a year or so...missing chrono pusher and all...that was a waste of money for me....I personally wouldn't buy another thing from you. But hey, that's me. Good luck on the other forum.
  20. I also bought a couple of reps from Joe and he always did a nice job for me. I didn't have any issues. Prayers sent out for you Joe...get better soon.
  21. Wow, this sounds like some serious drama went down here....
  22. I love it but how does it compare to the Gen? I'm just getting back into the rep world after being out for a year or so... Thanks but I am wanting this one now....I should be getting my Skyland V3 from Josh this week.
  23. I just bought one from Joshua. It's been a while since i've been on this site...I used to frequent often when it was another forum....anyway, I can't wait to get the watch from Joshua. The skyland is a sweet rep!
