i've stopped wearing my rolex reps just because of the assumptions people make ... is that real? and partly because the money perception thing. i switched over to panerai - 111 and 127 models ... simple clean lines but BigA$$ watches. when you go back to the shoe cobbler with your timex update us if his reaction is different to you weather you have the rolex or timex on. will that be the timex ironman digital?

i like to wear french cuffs dress shirts when wearing a suit. i always try to coordinate my accessories, watch, cufflinks, writing pen etc. curious if members here take the time to coordinate accessories when wearing french cuffs. oh by the way, what type of watch would you wear with french cuffs, more dress like Patek, larger dial like a pam fiddy or 111? rolex dj, explorer II, sub? i tried it with my custom fiddy and blue mother of pearl cufflinks: input/feedback?

i wear button shirts on casual fridays. much like dluddy, i prefer tab collar shirts and ones with hidden button down under the collar

steve: perfect clones/joshua offerings are a great place to start your panerai collection. i was never a panerai brand/model fan until i saw them at a local AD. i will warn you once you go down the panerai slope there will be no turning back. you will want a 111h, 127/Fiddy, a submersible, destro (crown on the left side of case), a gmt. i have a pam90 on bracelet and love it. it is a substantial looking watch. however the Fiddy or 127 on bracelet is a monster at 47mm. 90 on bracelet with his custom made Fiddy Big brother oh by the way, panerai enthusiats also go bonkers with straps, modifications, crown, crown guard, lume, buckles, homage dials, customization dials and all the fine scrutiny of how we want our reps to look like the gen. good luck ... i went done the panerai slope last november and now have 6 pams (111, 212, 90, 232, 2 fiddys), custom painted dials, logo cufflinks, 10+ straps and a whole assortment of buckles here's a pic of my 111 customized for a NYC tribute dial on light tan buffalo leather strap post pics of your panerai once you get it! fbv

anyone know a good /reputable website where i can purchase sterile/hommage 47mm / 44mm PAM style watches looking/wanting to buy sterile 47mm pam style watch for use on a custom dial project. not looking to spend alot of $$$ (under $125.00) but would like to have a decent/good 6497 movement in it. on google DSN sells sterile PAM watches but i am not looking to spend that amount of $$$. anyone ever buy sterile/hommage PAM watches from the guy on pmwf? think the seller is militaryman or something like that? how good and reliable are those? thanks for in advance for information and suggestions.

thanks for the suggestion on what type of strap. the lume was going to be a GX3 orange but has been changed to a GX white lume. come on fellas other suggestions as to leather strap to compliment this 111/nyc sunset dial!

thanks oncyte; that is exactly my situation. alas, i will just have to be content with using leather straps and the rubber strap it came with. maybe a good waterproof leather?

i purchased a pam029 on rubber strap from a member on another board. my problem is i want the look of the 029 to be on bracelet but cannot get the standard rep bracelet i have to fit my 029. no matter how i try i cannot align the lug holes to the bracelet to get in the pin screw. am i to be resolved that my 029 is not destined to be on a bracelet but just on the rubber strap and/or leather straps? excuse this rudimentary questions and the naivete of my thought process. don't really get on the forum much. thanks in advance.

have not been around lately but wanted to share my latest project. i bought my first pam from a dealer on the RG. it is / was a 111 fantasy white dial seen here i now say "was" because in several weeks it will take on a totally different look. i have corrodinated with a very talented artist for a custom dial using one of the selections below. the artist's website can be found here: www.painteddials.com the watch itself will also get a complete overall - regulated, dial marker lumed, hands lumed for me to complete the transformation and look. i've worked and corresponded with the artist for the the selection of artwork and it can be one of these. my criterion for art selection is it has to have had some impact to my life or things i've done. so here are the possibilities for my custom dial: A. milky way: cosmic and mysterious B. NYC because i lived, worked and partied in manhattan for 12 years ... i am surprised and glad that i am not dead yet. C. another cosmic entry - Pleiades From my homeland province in the Philippines Mt. Mayon Volcano once the project is completed i'll post pics of what will be a one of a kind custom pam111 for yours truely!!! what do you all think?

thanks for the comments. both are my favorites. i've played golf at pebble beach several times and the lone cypress jutting out into the pacific really cool looking. the atlas sculpture in nyc on 5th ave is one of my favorite things about new york. i'll post pics of the final custom dial for my 111 when the project is done.
