  1. Oooo.. nice, I'll be waiting for this!
  2. My dials are all off, but the 6 is bent so far to the left that everyone picks up on it. I have emailed Josh and he told me to send some photos for him to see. I had decided to try and get a replacement dial or watch but I thought the hassle wasn't worth it, especially since I'm getting it relume and the dials will have to come off anyway. However, this is not the first time I have heard QC issues relating to the 3, 6, 9 and 12 markers. This appears one of the over ridding faults on an otherwise excellent watch.
  3. That is a 100% rep. This guy has previously put this up on eBay and I reported it. eBay did not remove it however so they must think it's real. Idiots.
  4. They guide was helpful, thanks. But will there ever be a rep that fixes the most glaring mistake/tell.. namely where the sub-dials are. I can't bring myself to even contemplate getting one until that is fixed personally.
  5. Thanks, although I may be selling the 3714 Porto rather soon because I want to try and build another 3717 but with the best parts i.e. Swiss ETA and parts!
  6. Both from Josh and the 3714 has been AR'd courtesy of K2222. The 3714 was returned from K2222 with the crystal glued onto the bezel and some of the minute markers scratched off!! But Jakub said that it was because something or other wasn't right and that was all he could do at the and he did say he had already ordered a spare bezel and crystal for me, he will AR that and send it to me so I can swap it out myself. Just waiting for those to arrive then I'll be a very happy bunny! Hopefully, the 3717 will be making it's trip to Poland very soon for a spot of AR and ETA day-date wheel lovin' too and after that, a trip to Canada for some reluming!
  7. Thanks for the info Chief!
  8. Chief, is that a slow-beat 3717 you got there? I ask because I have a hi-beat 28,800bpm and I can get hold of a Val 7750 and would be thinking of a swap, but I have also heard issues with doing this on between a hi-beat A7750. Is this possible or would I have to go to a dealer and get the older lo-beat hands/dials? (I assume the case is the same?)
  9. I have exactly the same problem. I received my 3717 a couple of days ago and the markers are all off.. 3, 9 and 12 are ok at a glance but the 6 is obvious to anyone looking at the watch for anything more than a few seconds. I have already contacted Josh and I will be sending him some photos as soon as I get my camera ready.
  10. This is a gen 3717 - look at the D, it's not the same as the ETA but more similar to the rep
  11. Someone remind me, why change the date wheel again? AFAIK, the rep date wheel is actually more representative to the gen, although fuzzier. Whereas the ETA date wheel, although clearer doesn't look like the gen (more obvious if you compare 'WED' between rep, gen and ETA).
  12. I got one from Josh and a new strap from BOB as well.. it is currently with Jakub for that bit of sweet AR treatment... should be done by next week hopefully!!
  13. I'm also a newbie and I will be purchasing this exact same watch from Davidsen very soon but I have to post and say something on this issue... namely, we are buying contraband - even though we hear of good things from specific 'dealers', they are just that - dealers who are helpful in this respect because they are either good guys or want to keep a good reputation but ultimately, they have no real responsibilities after you receive the watch. Would you as a seller of any goods be comfortable to send out your goods to customers on a promise of a return? I know I wouldn't and neither would (m)any stores I know of unless they know the customer beforehand or had collateral. He is offering to replace the watch for you, I'm not sure what more you want - remember, these are not normal shops or products; they are dealers in contraband. From a personal position, I wouldn't have gone so public about this without at least letting Davidsen remedy the problem, as he said he would. Only after that is done and failed then I would've asked for advice on the forums. Sorry if I come across harsh or unreasonable, but that is my personal opinion.
  14. Does anyone know if this is the norm in the UK too, I assume most of the replies here are from US residents?
