I've bought some 9010/2 and D5 figuring I will use them for most servicing needs. They'll both be adequate for the 6497 movements that I've been working on.
Great link, thanks. That makes far more sense. Got some new A*F drivers on the way, so will tackle it then. If they're small enough of course.
ETA say 'do not wash' in the guide? Does that include a one dip? I won't put it in the ultrasonic for sure.
How do you get the rotor off though? There are no screws?
Noted re the grease. I had read that the möbius option was a good one. I have some one dip arriving today so hopefully that will help.

It's a superb rep yes. I imagine its not a massive seller. But, they created a V2 so it must be a reasonable seller. Most people go for the obvious reps. I love e XVI so it was easy for me. Simple beauty

Anyone else experience a noisy rotor on these? Got an IWC XVI today and it has the 2892 movement. I know rotors can be noisy so don't go down that route. However, this one sounds particularly grindy?
I've been spoilt with my gen sub. You can't hear a peep from that.
I want to take it off to grease the bearings but have no idea how to get it off. I'm used to the screw down rotors.
The XVI V2 is very accurate if its just that style you're after. The XVII looks very good. Like others have said, on a similar thread, the crown looks a tad large
