I totally lost track of this thread and now need two watches servicing. At least I know the options now
Thanks everyone. Sorry I dropped off the thread
Hi All
What are the alternatives to the standard roles case back tools? I'm looking in the UK for something but on eBay it's £35 for the usual case back set but as I'm only likely to use it a handful of times I'd like to see alternatives if there are any.
Cheers
Hopefully this might make you feel better. I ordered a 7032 Caseset fro me DW - he sent it signed for from the UK. Our Parcelforce courier delivered it to another flat in my block and they signed for it. Online it says that I signed for it but the digital signature isn't mine, clearly. When I called them to ask where the he'll it was they got back to me to say the driver couldn't remember which flat it had gone to and because he'd written that I'd signed for it then they wouldn't be able to track it down. I left notices on doors around my block and never got a thing back. It even had my mobile number on the package so someone is being dishonest too.
Needless to say I had to buy another one. So there goes 2x $190.
Shows our UK service can be just as crap!!
Pictures don't do it justice mate. Kain are one of my favourite makers. Amazing service, amazing straps and superb packaging!
I bought this one specifically for the 026K
What a gorgeous rep. Quality is pretty impressive, bar the end links on the strap.
I have a gen Rolex Submariner and have been comparing the quality. It's clearly a reasonable gap, especially the bracelet. Overall though I'm very impressed.
The rotor is pretty noisy though - anyone else have that problem? It's the swiss ETA in this one.
...and mine. Sorry the photos are a bit of a rush job. Watch looks lovely in the flesh. Strap even better - nice Kain Heritage.
You'll have to excuse fingerprints and dust on the glass.
Silly question but you wind towards on a destro right? Assume it's just a 6497 rotated 180 degrees?
Mine is waiting at home for my arrival tonight! I'm too excited. Luckily I have a gen speedmaster delivered to work today!
I like it, case is great. Shame about the fonts but I'm very much used to that now - how hard is it to bloody get it right. Seems so odd they take the time to make these and miss the smallest details time and time again
I'm having a go at my first service in the next couple of weeks. I've seen the guide on the ETA website but does anyone have anything better or more informative?
Cheers
