Hi J, the dial is a dark grey, as far as I can tell, looks close to gen - I think its just the light / reflections that give it the "brown" tinge. The strap is a loveley colour and texture, borderline light grey/brown, suits the Ti perfectly!..........Thanks

Hi guys, Received this watch this morning, the IWC 3717 Chrono!! Ok, its no Concepta genestein, but it has all the mods, i.e. Taka AR, ETA datewheels, lume work, service........so when I opened the package I was taken aback by the luxurious look and feel.......Its a very simple, sophisticated looking watch with a dress / sport look to it......totallly awesome! Getting alot of PM's about this watch (thanks).....here are some of the details everyones asking about: ETA day/date date wheels Complete service from SpeedyG. Lume service in the correct 3-6-9-12 positions from Flav. The crystal with a double AR crystal from Two Geek Strap is a custom croc pilot from Straplux Let me know what you think.

Wont say much except wow, what a watch!! The Ti look and feel is superb. Let me know what you guys think........ The strap is the AP bands "chocolate Lungomare"........Which when I saw it I thought: "perfect match"......... Oh yeah, I want to try and clear one thing up! Theres a thread on the Chronopassion and the whether the sides are polished or not....... The side of the bezel IS polished (as per gen) The side of the case IS polished (as per gen) What ISNT polished on the rep is the "lip" of the crown guards..........below is a pic of the gen.....and where I have underlined in red shows a polished finish - this isnt the case on the rep unfortunately

Its just so upsetting that some people are stupid enough to post reps on gen forums and attract unnecessary attention!! Its a shame some gen forum users dont realise what a wealth of knowledge rep forums are - not only a place to buy a cheap "fake" watch. Where else would you be able to learn how to modify a watch, service a movement, create a masterpiece..........I mean its VERY easy to just walk into an AD, splash some cash and buy a gen. But here, some of the nicest pieces have been created by sourcing parts, patience, time and effort.........(which in turn makes wearing the watch alot more meaningful). Hope it all just breezes over.......

WOW this ones going to be PERFECT! Just out of curiosity though, you are almost replacing everything with gen parts, that + assembly + cost of watch.....isnt it close to the price of a well looked after second hand gen?

That im not too sure on! Im assuming the rep game for the factories is a fast moving, quick, mass, money making scheme......not sure whether they have the time, resource and patience to research and develop new movements.......? Its not impossible I would say...

Rightly said Edwin! ......BUT, considering a gen AP costs almost 2-3 times more than that I would say a 4k for an AP rep with: gen dial, hands, DW and a decent movement is worth it?..... Then again, depends whether you want an AP or not........otherwise plenty of other high end gen watches can be had for 4K......
