Hi, I hear so many things - closed factory case, eta2824, correct hv placement? Anyone know where the current best rep (with mod potential - with gen parts) is available from, ive already got a gen rubber strap waiting. I have used precious time in the past, is his any good? Many thanks Matt

I know the lug width is the same (20mm) but i'm not sure about the pinholes and whether there would be a gap left between case and strap, if the pinholes aren't located in the same spot as a gen?

Does anybody know if the gen smp rubber strap will fit on the rep smp chrono? Has anybody got any pics of said piece?

My recently modded upo - for Friday. Sill missing its second hand!!

My Franken UPO project is very almost complete. (at last!!!) I damaged by gen second hand trying to get the damn thing on, and my rep hand is long gone. This is the very last piece of the puzzle. Does anyone know where i can source a replacement rep second hand? Can the tip be painted to match the gen? If so what colour is it? Many thanks guys. Matt

Hi, Thanks for the replies, I managed to get the bezel insert in after a whole lot of filing. The gen second had really didn't want to fit on but i'm sure my watch is an ETA 2836-2 movement from precious time. I will try to source another rep second hand - I got rid of mine stupidly. Hi, Does anyone know where I can buy a spare 'second' hand from for my UPO?? Also whats the best way of attaching the gen bezel insert to the UPO? How much has to be filed off the back of the insert? What about attaching the second hand - its so damn difficult. Whats the best way to avoid marking it or bending it as I did on my last one!??

OK, so i'm still thinking of modding my upo by adding a gen dial. One small problem.... I dont know how on earth I will do it. Can anyone provide me with an idiots guide, Step by step instructions on how to remove the movement, remove the hands and replace the dial? Failing that does anyone provide a service to do this for me? Preferably in the UK. Many thanks in anticipation of your replies

Guys, thanks for your replies and advice, Bottom line, i think the consensus is, dont waste money on somethng that is essentially never going to be a gen, I fix the dial - the bezel bothers me, I fix the bezel - the crown bothers me and so on!!! I saw docblackrocks pics of his upo with double AR and gen rubber strap, I think thats what i'll do. My intention is to buy the gen chrono, and have skinny wrists so I will no doubt use the gen rubber strap on my gen chrono when I buy it at the end of the year, so nothing will be wasted. ..... The bloody lume on the upo does bother me though!!!!! Aaaaargh!

I am after a little help and advice please, i have a UPO from Precioustime and it is currently with jakub for AR treatment. The omega logo on the dial bothers me a little, and I know SILIX sell a dial with a better omega logo. Is it easy to swap logos or swap the dial itself out (will the silix dial fit in the ETA swiss upo from precious)? Any advice or help would be uch appreciated. Cheers.
