  1. This thread shows a gen crystal does fit in the 4th gen:
  2. Anyone any strap suggestions until I get hold of a gen bracelet?
  3. Me too. But can I have first dibs on your chief crystal? ;-)
  4. A member called Zorg2000 put a gen crystal in his I think?
  5. How could yours possibly get more upgraded??? A certificate of authenticity from Omega perhaps!!! I'm hoping to get hold of a gen bracelet at some point. Wearing it on NATO at the moment. Crown/tube and crystal are also on my list. Hoping chief does another ar run soon.
  6. That's why I had to get rid of the 45's!!!
  7. Well after completing a couple of 45mm UPO mod projects with gen dial, hands, crystal, datewheel and bezel inserts, i still didnt enjoy wearing them all that much because of the size. I sold them off and concentrated on gen omegas for a while before being drawn back by pictures of Ubis and DB2's 4th gen mod projects. I was able to recently aquire an unused 4th gen from a fellow member and then set to work on my mod project. This is how it looked on arrival; So first off was getting the old bezel off, very difficult task without proper equipment as i learned the hard way having scratched the polished lugs!! The I removed the movement, removed hands and old dial: I bought a new datewheel to install but the one on the swiss eta was really quite good so rather than struggle to replace i have left it on for now. Then came the new dial and hands - tricky to say the least! Before casing it back up, slapping the new bezel on (very tight though, i daren't turn it again incase it gets stuck again!) So this is how it compares - before and after! I decided against going for the gen crystal for now as the 4th gen had reasonable AR and on the new PO's the AR isnt as blue as the older models so this really wasnt so much of an issue for me (plus cost!) Next for me will be crown/tube perhaps and definately a gen strap, bracelet or clasp at the very least. For now, good enough to wear
  8. Main ones are lume colour and of course the bezel, 42mm PO should have a coin edge bezel. 45mm has scalloped edge. Oh and pearl!
  9. Prince William has often been seen wearing the 36mm auto bond blue seamaster for the last 10 years.
  10. Good to finally see the finished product. Nice job and looks cool. Go on do the dial and hands, the lume is well worth it!!!
  11. It looks quite tatty. I'd hold out. Put a wtb on timezone.com lots of us sellers and exchange rates are good at the moment. You will not be disappointed.
  12. Well if you decide you want a 2264 (same model but quartz powered) then drop me a pm. Mine is for sale! They never repped it so you won't have to worry about it being a rep. It's also cheaper than the 2254 and won't need a new battery for 3-4 yrs.
  13. Looks old. But reasonably gen looking. Not clear enough to be sure, second hand and bezel look very faded.
  14. I'm feeling rather pleased with myself after just landing an unused 4th gen PO today which I plan ro mid. I gave up waiting for this next generation PO.
  15. Just time to post a quick pic of 2 new arrivals. A gen Seamaster quartz 2264.50 And an unused 4th gen PO. What a find!! Both arrived today in the mail.
  16. Still waiting no news for months now........
  17. You say your building a "black" seamaster but these dials are from the blue ones. There's a seller on timeworn in the us selling a dial for the black seamaster auto ref 2254 may be worth looking at if it's the older black model you are doing. Time zone not timeworn bloody predictive iPhone!!!
  18. Which dads does precioustime supply? Bloody predictive text! I mean dssd! Not dads!
  19. Never understood why they stopped making the 4th gen when it was so good and accepts gen parts!
  20. I hope it's not that alleged 5th gen rubbish! Good luck!!!
  21. I did that last year, after he took payment he told me he only had orange dial ones left, then said he had none, to be fair he did give me a refund straight away but I was mighty disappointed I'll tell you!
  22. The 42 mm po is much more wearable than a ploprof, surely that should make it more marketable? Please watchmakers supply the demand!
  23. I'm soooo jealous I'd give anything to get my hands on a 4th gen po! All I need is the darn case but I am resigned tocwaitinh for the new ultimate 42 if such s thing will ever exist!
  24. These things are like rocking horse sh!t!!! That's fo sho!
  25. Omega64, hi the 4th gen I'm after is the 42mm non chrono that accepts gen parts. Thanks for reply though.
