I know this should be in the wanted section, but I know how many omega forum readers have had or have UPO's. I am looking for a crown and stem from a UPO, not sure where or if I can buy one. I have some ETA stems from cousins but they are a few mm too short. Please reply or PM if you can help!

I made the mistake of handling the movement with bare hands during my frustration and was a little forceful, I am happy to cut my losses and start again, would be nice to have a gen datewheel already fitted, I can do all the other mods, but this one drives me mad!

I am currently trying to do my second UPO mod project, I got my case completed (crystal, bezel insert, crown and tube) then i went and rushed the datewheel swap and fell out with the tricky little spring that holds the datewheel in and pulled it off!! I have knacked the 2824 movement and will need a new one, Anyone know where I can get a gen 2824 with a proper ETA datewheel from? Im afraid I dont fancy doing the datewheel swap myself as my patience is so poor!!!

Yes gen dial and hands on the UPO fits perfectly too.

Lani your pics are tip-top old boy. imho you cannot get a better mod than a gen crystal. I completed the above piece by adding: gen dial, hands, datewheel, crown, tube, crystal and bezel insert. Each mod for me just made this thing so much better, but for me a PO isn't a PO without that blue hue from the gen crystal. I love it. I am about to build my second mod (an orange version) but the gen crystal I got hold of is from a used gen piece and gives off a more pinky purple hue? Could this just be an older AR process used by omega? Anyway I cant wait for my next UPO to arrive so I can put together my next mod.

Deniz, I suggest you dont try to sell this watch to other users like me who posted a WTB, before you know what the hell it is you are selling, it makes you no better than the dealer you are whining about!!!!

4th gens are so hard to find these days! I am about to do an orange franken effort on another 45mm UPO to match my Black/white franken, thanks for the inspiration!

My most recent had decent AR with an authentic blue hue, not quite as blue as the gen though!

If you have a 4th gen PO, then a gen bezel will fit directly.

Ive seen the modded one, but i have some parts myself and just need a bog standard 42mm 4th gen to work some magic on!!

imho I would go for a gen dial and hands, It makes a world of differences and the cost isnt too bad, check out ofrei or cousins. The gen dial is so much better than the rep and as its such an easy mod its well worth doing.

I posted this thread on RG a few weeks ago, I thought Andrew had sourced me an orange one at the factory but then had to give me a refund at the eleventh hour when it didnt show! I have a gen dial, hands, crown, tube, datewheel and clasp all ready to install, just need the darn watch! Does anybody know if anybody still stocks them or where on earth I may be able to gewt one so i can start modding!! Thanks in anticipation...

I have no idea, but simply dont need chiefs ar cos I have the gen crystal. As I am replicating a gen why not have the gen?

Pug, What about the stem for a 42mm PO? I have ordered a crown and tube but am unsure which stem to go for from cousins, I know the original wont fit. Cheers Matt
