  1. TTK's watch I love the one on the black dial ^^ also Anyone know where can i get my hands on either of the above straps?
  2. here is one from hava's thread ...(with link back to original thread).. I think that strap looks like a gen, alternative is hirsch but they dont so 24mm, what a shame..
  3. @tazzman: lovely pics and excellet advice mate, I am sure I will be doing a lot of walking and taking in the scenery. I have always wanted to go to zurich but needed equally good company to go with. Now is the time I guess. I am looking forward to visiting the old town, I love old architecture.. I was looking into booking Hyatt too, but ended up booking the Novotel Zurich Airport Messe. Yeah, everytime I visit the gen AD, I take my watch off prior to entering the AD shop, saves the hassle and paranoia. I guess the SOSF is going for a zurich trip afterall.. @jkerouac: Cheers for the tip mate, I am sure we will be stopping by for some tipple.. Wife is a veggie and I am kinda semi veg, so I hope our choices isnt limited to eating cheese and tomato baguettes hehe.. @takashi: I was planning on taking the train down to geneve and check out the city.. do u know how far it is on the train from Zurich?
  4. its 23/22. 24mm strap is a bit of a squeze at the lug side.
  5. Hiya fellas, I am kinda bored with my Chopard 1000 Miglia GT XL (black dial) and thought a change of strap might spice things up a little. What would you suggest? got any inspiring eye candy and suggestions?
  6. that is my intention indeed, hence I chose Zurich.. . you recon the gens are any cheaper in Zurich? do they ever have a sale or anything? Also, would it be advisable to wear my SFSO whilst I am there?
  7. hehe, yea i guess searching for a rep in zurich seems like an improbable task. this is the fist time we are going there. Does zurich have a 3 day pass sort of thing that we can buy for traveling around? Anyone been there? i would love to get some "tourist to do" info.. hehe you recon its safe to wear my SOSF eta for the visit or are they @n@l about people wearing reps? Am i better off sticking to a gen quartz or something?
  8. Hiya guys, I am heading over to zurich next weekend for a holiday with my wife. Seeing as I am going to be there for 3 days, anyone know any places in Zurich that might sell good repz? is it too risky to seek repz in zurich? Apart from the reps, anyone got any suggestions on places to go and things to see whilst we are there? I was thinking about getting the train from Zurich to go and see other parts as well, any good recomendations?
  9. huh, what dealer? wheres the link?
  10. http://www.menswatchreview.com edit: hmmm, it looks like a MADE FOR ADSENSE (MFA) website. The reviews are not as comprehensive. Some watches just have the blurb from the gen website, not really a review as such. There seem to be some images however... :-(
  11. been trolling through all the ingy eye candy threads, I have to admit it is a very orgasmic watch.. I cant wait. How easy is it to change the dial?
  12. thanks for all the input guys, it really puts it into perspective for me. I am not that much of a dress watch person myself. I am considering getting ingy on the kevlar strap, I guess VCO on any other strap wont be possible? sadly, I am not a bracelet fan... Also, as all of u pointed out, modding ingy would only require a date wheel swap, not overly complicated i guess. Patek, hmmm. i think its the blue dial thats putting me off, otherwise its a very sexy watch. Time to contact PT for the ingy i guess. hehe.. Thanks again guys. :-)
  13. I agree, I do like the ingy more as its a little less formal and fits in with my preferences a lot more, its just the smaller hands and flaw on the caseback (Co.) thats putting me off it. what do u think?
  14. guys, I need your advice. i am liking both the above mentioned watches and thought I will get your opinions.. So far, having searched through the forums I have concluded that INGY flaws: * hands too small * wrong caseback INGY good: * Double AR * Swiss ETA * 42mm I havent managed to find enough info or a comprehensive review on the VCO. can anyone please tell me if and why I should choose VCO over ingy? Are there any flaws with VCO? Cheers
  15. that looks nice and is a sensible size too
  16. very informative review mate, well done. This has helped me a lot today
  17. lol.. i know its PVD mate, I was commenting on the finish of the first watch. The gen looks much better though. I associate PVD with more of a "tactical", "special ops" kinda watch. I think PVD on a classic(ish) looking golf watch doesnt really complement that look of the watch.
  18. i think it depends on which part of the world you are in. In india TAG is a hot, luxury brand alongside Omega, RADO and Rolex. Its the marketing and lack of other prestigious brand that makes TAG such a hot brand there.. Here in UK, that same marketing is making the brand appear "cheap" as there is more choice in the market, take IWC, Choppard, JLC etc.. Everytime I go to india my watch of choice is a tag, simply cause people recognise it and know of its value, irrespective of gen or rep. Back to phones, I think I have a very differnt opinon when it comes to that. I would prefer Nokia and Apple over virtu/tag simply because: 1) they are better made and have better support 2) offer more features (wifi/gps/email/camera/(insert feature here) 3) cost a fraction of the price 4) support many more applications and widgets (apple) 5) run on a muck more robust operating system (Symbian / OSX)
