  1. Hate to say this but it looks very much like one of my two tone sub reps. Also, $5300 seems a little low. I believe the normally run about 7-8K.
  2. Why are you winding an automatic watch? If you never leave it sit for more than a day or two at a time there is no need to manually wind it. Over winding (manually) will damage the keyless works! Just my two cents. I am pretty sure The Zigmeister and most others will confirm this.
  3. Hey The Zigmeister, I sincerely hope you and J. enjoy your vacation abroad. You deserve it! Thank you again for a wonderful job on the "Pumpkin Sub". The pics you posted bare pale witness to the actual quality of work that went into that job. It is an amazing one of a kind! Cheers, B.
  4. For some reason I am attracted to two tone watches. I have owned several of them and they never seem to get any wrist time. I think the biggest disappointment was the Gen Omega Seamaster Pro with white dial face. It was a beautiful watch to look at, but just didn't feel or look right on the wrist. By the way, I still have the two (2) Two Tone Subs up for grabs. Tried selling them here a few weeks ago but didn't get any serious interest. Make me any reasonable offers now and I'd be likely to let them go fairly cheap!
  5. Why is it so hard to just follow the rules? By the way, your spelling and syntax need a little work.
  6. And may be he just liked the watch...
  7. Eurotimes provides an excellent product with great quality control. Check out the "Euromariner". It is by far the best submariner available for the money.
  8. One word: Eurotimez Go to LINKS and look for dealer websites.
  9. Those are great, but a couple of disposable Bics will do. Also, a few "ziplock" plastic bags in various sizes and a small hygiene kit is a nice addition. Make sure you take foot powder and some extra socks too! A small coil of 18 or 20 Gage steal wire goes a long way also along with a polished stainless steel mirror. I'm not sure what kind of adventure you are planning but these are things that I always have with me on patrol (excluding weapons of course). Also, consider purchasing some small "Pelikan" water proof cases to keep important things dry. And never go anywhere without a "Leatherman Tool"! Cheers
  10. You need to add 100 feet (30Meters) of "550" cord, an MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) and one or two butane lighters and some water proof matches. A wet weather ponch is not a bad idea too.
  11. Wow, the pictures look great! I can't wait to get it back. I am pretty sure that there is not another one like it anywhere! Thanks The Zigmeister!!!
  12. If Andrew's website is closed I hope it is an indication that he is finally out of business. Seems to me that he screws as many people as he serves. He ripped me off for around $400.00! If you received your watch and it works, without flaws you were lucky.
  13. Probably ripped off one too many customers. "Trusty", is definately not TRUSTY! Andrew is a liar and a thief. Do yourself a favor and deal with Eurotimes.
  14. The lume is very good on these watches. Much better than most unmoded reps. If my camera was working properly I would post a pic but I am having software problems
  15. He (Homer) doesn't have a Daytona version of these watches. He currently has Subs, GMTs, and an Explorer II. There are also some nice Pam knockoffs. If you go onto ebay and search "swiss ETA" his site will pop up. Or try this link: http://stores.ebay.com/Exclusive-Watches-Inc-UK Good luck. These really are very nice watches.
  16. I have three of these watches. They are of the highest quality. I own two of the Submariners and one GMT. Highly recommended! All three keep near perfect time too.
  17. If you just want a very nice watch and don't care about the name on the dial check out this link on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/SUBMARINER-DIVERS-WATC...7QQcmdZViewItem This is Homer's ebay store. He is one of the trusted dealers on this forum. I have three of these watches, two subs and the GMT.
  18. Yes, I purchased one too. I am still waiting for it to arrive. I am going to put in a custom dial and an ETA movement just to have an novelty watch.
  19. Count me in for one if the CGs are modified before PVD is applied. BTW, if they are numbering 001-100, and your minimum order is beyond 100 how will that work?
  20. How many members went to the website? Have to admit I did. Beware, this looks like a plug... Could be wrong, but I don't think so. Scam site??? Me thinks yes...
  21. Yes, I am sure many members would be interested in this. If you are still there would you consider taking some orders?
  22. I think it looks great too, if you want to wear a clock on your wrist...It would look better hanging on my livingroom wall. Way to big in MHO.
  23. Welcome aboard shipmate... Take a good look around and enjoy yourself.
  24. Dollar for dollar you should expect to get a good value as long as you do your research. Of course if you are looking for a "perfect watch" for three or four hundred dollars you are going to be searching a long time. There will always be some issues. You just have to determine what you are willing to live with and what you can do without. But if it means buying a $400.00 Seiko or an MBK Sub rep with an ETA, I would go for the MBK (or Euromariner) for that matter.
  25. I agree, add a date mag, and wider hands. Of course you could put crown guards on it too and you would have a rolex rep
