And by the way, it looks like you're missing the lume on the 9 o'clock marker. Other than that and the scratches it's decent looking rep.

That should be your respobsibility imo. These are still used sales. I sell on a few websites for used goods and there is not a single one that requires for your ad to be still there when you sell something.
I save all pictures and information from my used purchases, here and elsewhere. It's not that hard to do. Of course, it's easier to do nothing and just cross your fingers that the thread is still there or the board hasn't crashed.
Your opinion is duly noted and filed away in the I don't give a crap file. If you don't agree with the forum rules, that's your prerogative.
I still maintain it's a good and fair rule and was just showing an example of how it could have helped someone.

A member for 10 years and you only had 2 whole posts before this sales attempt.
What an upstanding member you are.

Not to go off subject here but just put in your computer and download here (as I do ) no filling up your site. Your sale went threw no problem fine but I am sure you see guys selling to another w/ link to prior sales thread right well then there is a problem so now I can look back. This is non negotiable sorry mate.
I bought a DW Daytona about 5 years ago from a member on this forum. One of my first reps. The sales thread said it had lots of gen parts, including crystal, pushers, crown and maybe more. I came back about 6 months later when I was more into the actual intricacies of reps and couldn't find the sale thread anywhere. By then I wasn't sure what was gen and what wasn't. still not sure about the pushers.
It would have been immensely helpful if the thread and pictures were still available. I imagine it went bye-bye in a hard drive crash or something but I strongly agree that if you sell a watch there should be a paper trail left for at least a year.

Damn Micky, sorry to see this as I always thought you were quite helpful and had a good rep, especially compared to some of the other modders who have gone down in flames lately. But you really should have known you were already on very thin ice over there and even a mention of starting back to work was enough to bring too much attention to your modding business.
Anyhow, life goes on and we'll still know where to find you. Once again, so sorry about your mom. Mine passed away over 30 years ago and I still think of her often. Time eases the memories and what's left is just the love for all she has done for you.

Maybe a re-finished gen dial. Hope you didn't pay asking price. He'll usually take quite a bit less than his asking price. I bought a Serti Sub dial from him a few years ago.

I like that one....But only for a woman.

I put one in a GMTIIC with no problems at all other than having to swap out the gears to the H5 gear set. The watch originally came with a CHS 2836-2 I believe. I also had a 2892-2 in a franken DJ with a Stilty ring with no problems there.
-
Kind of depends on how it runs in several other positions. Especially for an old movement. I've got an A2836 in my everyday beater that I had to set at +31 sec/day face up and with that it runs almost perfectly over a weeks time.
-
Very Impressive. Looks perfect even in macro.
-
It's a direct swap. Should be simple.

The way he installs the insert in this tutorial has always worked for me. Well, 3 times anyway. Might be worth a look. It's all in how you roll that last corner in.

My wife has a ladies Rolex full gold that she wore about 50% of the time and it started showing through in about a year and a half. You should be OK for a couple of years.

Lots of the guys over on RWI are still complaining they can't get access.
-
From the second picture I'd say it's definitely broken. Anyway, to be usable you're going to need to replace it.

I just checked RG and RWI and he was banned from them both, RG in 2014 and RWI in 2013.

Back years ago when the eBay seller whose name eludes me (Going?) was selling complete TT Datejust cases with gold bezels for $220 I bought a few. Now the cases alone are going for more than that and the gold bezels go for around $300. I sure as hell wouldn't price one of my franken Datejusts based on my actual input cost. And I see no reason that there should ever be a rule that says you have to in order to sell it on a forum. Rare, modded and franken pieces will always sell at fair market value.
What I find much more annoying is the over use of Super, Uber, and Ultimate franken. If you're selling one of these it ought to be real close to 100% gen parts, including the correct gen movement.

Too bad The Force is only usable and available one day a year.
-
Is this some sort of willpower test?
Agreed.

Bezel or bezel insert?

Magnets and watch movements don't mix very well.

Have you tried trading yourself?
My maximum risk is in the stock market. I do use a lot of option strategies but in most cases they are selling covered calls on stocks that I own and feel that are over valued. Or, sometimes buying deep in the money calls for increasing my exposure with less investment money, Also, I like selling naked put options on a stock that I would like to own.
Just a few simple strategies that are relatively safe and can add a little extra percentage to your winnings, or protect your losses.
I haven't dabbled in commodities since back when the Hunt Brothers tried to take over the silver market in the 70's. My partner and I thought we were going to be rich (mostly by accident) and then we watched it all wiped out almost overnight. Learned my lesson well.

Well, since the mods don't seem to care........
The only reason they're over here fkkin with us is because we're so busy over there sticking our nose in their sorry a**ed countries business. The world was a much better place with a few strong men dictators keeping the population under control. Look at how that area has deteriorated since we took out Khadafi and Hussein. Then we promote the over throw Assad and turn that place upside down. They aren't ready and don't want US style democracy.
I did two tours in Viet Nam in the 70's so I think i'm entitled to make these statements. We were so busy saving the world from communism and the falling dominoes in SE Asia. That worked out about as well as this latest fiasco. And funny how none of the other "dominoes" fell after Saigon.....
By the way, what do you think that watch is worth?
