  1. Some time ago The Zigmeister posted some very nice tutorials on how to use your watch and avoid excessive wear and rear and he called these tutorials "Replica watch Basics"! He mentioned somewhere the following: "There are two basic types of automatic watches, those that wind in both directions, and those that wind in one direction......" ".....all Asian models are unidirectional (at least the ones I have seen). Included in this is the Asian or ETA 7750, it's a unidirectional model." And my question fellows is: Are the A7750s wound clockwise or counterclockwise (CW or CCW)?? If for example they are wound CW then should someone also adjust his watch winder to turn the watch CW or in alternate directions (both CW and CCW) as it has nothing to do with the watch's winding direction? The question may look easy to answer but take some seconds and think about it.....and let me know P.S.: I bought for my BCE a watch winder from Eilux the EW 1388 ST model which is relatively cheap (approximately 100 euro) and it works like a charm....The watch is on the winder for 3 full days and has a real fun Stays wound and ready to wear! It was something that i had a great problem with as i was forced to hand wind the watch each time it ran out of energy something that according to The Zigmeister will eventually lead to movement excessive wear & tear!
  2. Maybe the watch's power reserve is due to last that long, something which has to do also with your hand movement....It is peculiar indeed that the watch stops at exactly 08:20 am every day
  3. Not even a "brain-compromised" patient in the final stage before passing away would ever buy these things...
  4. Thanks for the reply it is indeed changing the other way round
  5. It is a great watch....I got mine last Friday from PT and it is amazing! I can't take my eyes off from it! If i could i would wear it even when asleep Let alone that every friend of mine who has seen it would ask too many questions about it! It's certainly a daily-wearer for me
  6. This is something i've never done so far You are right By-Tor it is also something that The Zigmeister has pointed out several times! Should i do this when the watch is totally stopped (meaning out of energy) or even if it's working?
  7. Thanks By-Tor for replying...But i'm getting so far (without having attempted to measure it) maximum 12 hours of reserve power If i sleep a little bit longer i may find out that my watch has run out of power Is there a trick as far as the crown is concerned so as to increase the timings??
  8. Trying to adjust the time and date on my BCE according to the written and unwritten rules we all keep in mind i noticed that although the time changes counterclockwise when stepping to the date changing this happens by turning the crown clockwise instead of counterclockwise Is this normal or should happen the opposite (date setting counterclockwise)?
  9. Well come on everyone...I can't believe that you have nothing to post in here Some numbers is all that it is needed
  10. After getting my brand new and magnificent BCE from PT yesterday first of all i feel a more active member of this community and i started wondering what is the overall power reserve duration of your watches and for how long have you been their proud owners no matter if these watches are serviced or straight out of the factory Of course if you had them serviced please mention it (don't cheat ) and let us know what is their current status. I think if we all share some numbers in this thread it will be really interesting So let's see.....
  11. Congratulations for your purchase wear it well m8...But show us some pics
  12. Those BCEs are really driving people crazy...!I can't also wait to get mine from PT....Hurry up PT
  13. How exactly did the marker fall from the bezel?Did you apply extreme force on it or did you hit it somewhere?I had the impression that the bezel was made of solid metal and not simply parts glued together... Do you have any pics from the damaged bezel???
  14. Well it is impossible for someone not to go crazy with all those reps that hit the market in very good quality....And don't forget that these nuts expect your contribution to the RWG institution....which means to post as many photos of your new BCE as possible
  15. You may be right this is what i had in mind, too about the blueish hue on the glass....But what i'm not at all sure about is the color of the subdials as there is no WHITE/ULT color on the gen one....Any other suggestions about that?? Here's the link to the watch: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=1299
  16. Given the fact that Andrew's reputation is very high among all of us (rightfully so ) there are only a few things that you can doubt about them.....So browsing his site i found this lovely "piece" in my opinion, but i was wondering whether it is really a replicated watch out of the original one or it is "science-fiction"!! I'll tell u what i mean: after a thorough search in Breitling's website i found nowhere something like Chronomat Evolution Black/Wht ULT. You can certainly see the BCE with black dial and silver subdials but what is this BLACK/WHITE ULT that Andrew has on his site? Does anyone know?? And something else the dial colour (background colour) is it black or blue???? These are the pics of the rep i encountered
  17. A great THANKS to all of you guys who responded...Now's the moment that i will have to decide what is the most appropriate way of purchasing!Your sharing of info was more than helpful Χίλια ευχαριστώ
  18. This is exactly the meaning and sometimes the magic aspect of dealing with forums....You are totally right Corgi! Searching for something you are interested in is sometimes worth more than the item itself (literally ) Thanks again and if more members can add their valuable opinions it would be a blessing!
  19. Hello everybody! Although considering my low number of posts (not to say sub zero level ) i've been reading for a long time this GREAT forum and i think that the opinions exchanged here and the different experiences shared are PRICELESS for someone who really wants to know lots of things about this huge industry that in my opinion surely deserves to exist and is called: REPLICA WATCH INDUSTRY...... Before joining RWG and TRC i had decided that i would like to be the proud owner of a Breitling Chronomat Evolution (BCE) replica of course but i could not make up my mind as to where to buy from...! Respectable members here buy A) directly from the Eastern countries of origin (aka China) and they face the risk of having their valuable future possessions seized by customs (according to other members' testemonies) and some others buy from EU dealers who work as the middle link!! This is the point where i would like to ask every single member's (if possible as RWG is HUGE) opinion and if there are Greeks here i would be certainly VERY VERY glad to hear what they have to tell me about which is the most preferable way of ordering my watch from the above two....and if there is a danger concerning Greek customs seizing the package during shipment and of course who is the best intermediate dealer in EU (in the case of ordering from an intermediate dealer).... A GREAT THANKS to all of you guys who do your best to inform all of us who have limited experience on these things and we try to "JOIN THE CLUB" Thanks in advance (Ευχαριστω εκ των προτερων παιδια) nasosn
