  1. I found one on tehB@y for less. New, packaged, etc., for 75€ Basically, I kinda do mind paying 80 quid.
  2. Great to see you brought these over from RWI. I hope you enjoy it here. Fancy telling us how these superb pics were taken?
  3. That's a lot of people.
  4. Nope, sounds self-contradictory to me ...
  5. I'm not going to start a crusade about having to pay return postage on DOA watches, but someone should ...
  6. Damn, I'd forgotten about that. It was fun research.
  7. Dude, you look like a chick.
  8. Homer: You're selling what, now? Apu: I am selling only the concept of karmic realignment. Homer: You can't sell that! Karma can only be portioned out by the cosmos. Apu: He's got me there.
  9. This is in Europe, right? Do they know it's a counterfeit case?
  10. I just can't help myself.
  11. Excellent news.
  12. How about the slimline Asian 2892 copy, or even a gen 2892?
  13. Er, if they're following the Wal-Mart tactic, then their intention is not to make profit in the beginning, but to get rid of the smaller competition so in the long term they can charge what they like. It's Market-shaping at its best, and the consumer never wins.
  14. This morning, I dragged the 187 across the floor and lumped it into the watch box, seeking something lighter. I pondered for all of 3 seconds and grabbed this. It would have been longer than 3 seconds, but that's as long as it took for me to notice the 1680 is in pieces.

  16. Thanks for the confirmation. I reckon a decent watch salesman who actually enjoys his work will be able to tell a rep from the smoothness (not the beat rate), but he needs to be looking for it. If you ask "Is this a gen or a rep" then he will find out. If he's not looking for it, it's not the sort of thing you'd spot on the wrist.
  17. Yay, Reg is back!
  18. What about the more pressing recessed cannon pinion issue?
  19. Bugger. I was looking forward to that luxury.
  20. You'll sell a lot if you manage it. It's more realistic than your idea of CNCing a Rolex movement. What model are you using for your donor? 16610?
