  1. For you, we'll make the time.
  2. Every time the page loads, it randomly picks one of five images. Same with the avatar.
  3. I beg to differ. Thinking about it is something only a watch nerd would do. Most people would do it with or without a watch on and never give it any thought. In fact, if you ever watch any porn, you may notice a fair number of actors/actresses with their watches on. Now, a true watch nerd (we need a better term for it, as WIS doesn't fit - horologeek?) would stare more at the watch on the guy's wrist than the girl's [censored], and try to work out what it was, maybe even wincing at the money shot if it's not waterproof. "Oh, that can't be good for the leather strap."
  4. Which one? It changes. Actually, it's getting old. I need to put more watches in the rotation.
  5. Were they 2005 watches?
  6. I suppose the answer has to be ... it depends if it's waterproof or not. Or, I could have answered "Yes, I always wear a diving watch, fnaar fnaar" or something like "Only if it matches the Batman outfit" or even "No, the chickens tend to be scared by the ticking". I could have made onanism jokes like "Only if they need winding, then I wear three on my right wrist" or "No, the ticking might wake her up". Even worse, I could have made a paedo joke like "Yes, the kids love my Mickey Mouse dial" or an adultery one like "Of course, I need to know when her husband will be back" but no, people have to mention practical matters like diamond vs sapphire. An interesting thread, for sure.
  7. Moneybookers is the ideal solution. It's exceedingly cheap for EU members.
  8. nope.
  9. I like my Panasonic, not all Panasonics. For point-and-shoot, I'd also probably look at Canon over Panasonic if you were ever going to shoot indoors.
  10. I'd be interested. This sort of thing already exists, albeit commercially, and hasn't reduced regulating times as the movements need testing throughout their spring tension and at six angles.
  11. I had the exact same thought, followed by the realisation I don't have a crystal press.
  12. His two-tone Daytona looked sweet, too. And I don't usually like two-tone watches.
  13. Of course it is, but then again we're not in the investment business here.
  14. psst ... it's in the first post. This one
  15. Yes, so I see. That's a funny error. I wonder if Boaming could just reinsert the images.
  16. Summon the hordes ...
  17. Do ... you ... have ... any ... advert ... blockers ... installed? Adblock is a Firefox extension that blocks adverts (it's bloody brilliant) and banners and the like.
  18. <click> Search <clickety-click> Wabi <click> ... ok, will this do? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=10855
  19. With Adblock?
  20. Here are some sample FX07 pics. I use a Panasonic FZ20 and find it all I need (until I go SLR) but I've used a friends FX07 for a few non-watch shoots. It's good, but only in medium to high light. Not the best choice if you do a lot of late-evening indoors stuff, but great for outside at noon.
  21. It is tricky for people that want to buy the left-overs to be impartial.
  22. Yet Slay defends them. I wonder if he actually thinks they're not scamming or if he's just trolling to get a rise out of some of us. It's hard to tell, because when he trolls normally, he's highly entertaining and very funny.
  23. Yeah, and synthetic sapphire means glass in their world. At least they're not making up stuff wholesale. ps. From what I gather, the cheaper Daytonas on their site are possibly faux chronos or 21k Asian. The Asian 7750s are $550 and the swiss are inexplicably $1700.
  24. They lie about what they're selling. How is that not scamming?
