  1. Acetone is nail varnish remover. You should have that around, or know a girl that has some ... I hope.
  2. Breitling Navitimer. It's flashy and practical.
  3. Have you tried the usual solvents like acetone or meths? Nitromors will do it if all else fails.
  4. If I had to guess, I would say the PMU is fried. This happens on the best of laptops and can mean a logic board replacement is needed, unless it has a PMU fly-board. A logic board is expensive. ps. I too have a Mac and have no trouble getting software, especially as I can run XP in a window without slowdown. I have a copy of office from work running on bootcamp, paralells and crossover.
  5. These are the five watches I brought to Scotland, so if I can't post a wrist-check from leeched Wifi at the in-laws or GPRS slow-down, assume I'm wearing one of the following:
  6. Yeah, me too. It's that good. I'd prefer one in titanium, but they discontinued that model. However, vote for the Aquatimer Chrono (click here) in the RT Polls and you may well get the SS and rubber replicas available early next year.
  7. Simple: Lemania is a brand (part of the Swatch Group, like ETA) and the VJ23 "Mystery movement" is a movement. Simple, eh?
  8. I think this isn't as globally appealing as the regular Aquatimer Chrono, but it's still nice. I seem to remember Angus saying that ETA 7750 versions would be possible but you'd need to trawl the thread on TRC to check.
  9. The origin: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=486
  10. No rep made to date has a Lemania movement. What makes you think this would be the first?
  11. You're absolutely correct. I should expect a smaller readership for the more obscure watches. Ok, as usual, you're the voice of reason. I'm convinced.
  12. These are my Seikos: SKX031: Orange Monster: Black Monster:
  13. It means he opened their catalogue, pointed at the gen watch pic and they said they didn't have the rep. A common occurrence.
  14. I get the impression we're simply not the target market for replica Rolexes. People who want something that's not a Rolex are slightly more discerning.
  15. I recently posted a watch review and because it was an IWC, I posted it in the IWC section, like a dutiful member should. However, it had so few views our very own By-Tor commented on it with apprehension. The review was hidden away in a not often trawled location and was knocked off the front page very quickly. Now, rather than getting upset and feeling unloved, I decide to ask here if we can have a "Watch Review" section for people to post their reviews and the like. Ideas? Comments? Etc.?
  16. Keep 'em coming, folks. We've got a chance to change our hobby for the better!
  17. I find that in spite of the fact it's a 39mm watch, and therefore smaller than a Sub, my regular smallest watch, it feels good. Not too heavy, very easy to wear, with a reassuringly mild "Valjoux Samba" rotor-wobble. The fact that I wore it non-stop for the first few days and had to force myself to get the other watches back in rotation says a lot. One of the reasons I got it was that I'd not seen a review of it and couldn't believe no-one else had considered it. Oh, and I like IWCs (apart from Ingenieurs for some reason) and I like Chronos, so it wasn't a hard choice. Wristshot? Excuse the quality. I'll try my best, but it could be after xmas now ...
  18. Cheers. Yeah, 154 views is low. Maybe I'll not post in the right section next time.
  19. Unlike where Lex Luthor in Superman Returns wearing a Muller isn't a statement about Luthor's sexuality but is more likely about Kevin Spacey's tastes ...
  20. Nothing beats my Gen!!! Feel the pow0r!!!11ftw
  21. Hey, you did say unlimited budget
  22. Having thought about it, one watch, unlimited budget ... It'd be Buzz Aldrin's Speedy, if it ever turns up.
