Bruce - you are correct the AR on these rep PAMs are a dead giveaway before you even have it in your hands to examine. I removed the AR on all my PAMs as the gen AR is very very faint in hue.

Awesome pair of PAMs you have there! You are right the watch is more of a 112G with the brushed thick CG in the transition between the painted to sandwich dial. I think its better that you don't have any AR on the crystal than the strong blue rep AR. Great builds and man that 27 is a beautiful watch.

DSN dial, hands and caseback V's CG Josh case and crown Good eye didnt think the V's crown would be noticeable at those angles. This shark strap is really nice to look at because of the big ridges.

I just got my strap from Ed (RCRSCOM) and this strap is amazing. It completes the overall look and feel of my Slytech . A shark strap is a must in my opinion for any pre-V watch strap collection. After my move I plan on fitting the crownguard to the case so its flush and modify the crown & stem so that the crown sits a tad bit closer to the case. Other than that I think this one is almost 90% done. Even though a lot of people advised me not to build this watch, I just couldnt help myself. This one as of now has been my favorite watch in the works and I may have an interesting build to share in the coming weeks as well. Rolli's photos a few weeks backs convinced me that this is a must have for my collection, thanks Rolli!

I just wanted to share so no one made a mistake like me. I honestly may try ordering again in a month or two just to see if the cases are different again. But as a reminder order at your own risk and know you probably will not got fishgodeep's case set

PAMman - Well I wish I got the same cases Simon did just 6 months ago. The ones I received were nothing like the ones I received just a couple days ago. If the standard rep case backs would fit in the current helenarou cases, then I would just modify the V's CG to screw into the case. Voot - Atleast you get to return it, helena told me no refunds

Just wanted to let you guys know that the current helenarou ebay cases are not the same as fishgodeep's 201A case set. I ordered 2 SS and 1 PVD and here are the problems with them. 1) My DSN pre-v 207A/201A caseback does not even come close to screwing into the SS or PVD case 2) V's CG does not fit as the two screw holes are about .5mm in towards the crown tube 3) The crowns are not your standard rep crown so there are modifications that need to be done on them The SS case from helenarou has case dimples in between the lugs whiles fishgodeep's does not. So if you were planning on ordering any case sets from helenarou this is just a heads up as to what I received over the weekend.

This is what I'm thinking will be required to assemble this watch. Steps probably as follows: 1. Remove bezel and crystal 2. Mount movement 3. Install crown and stem 4. Mount dial 5. Set all three hands with a hand setter 6. Reinstall the bezel and crystal 7. Install the cg, caseback, and I'm done? Think this sounds about right?

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to assemble a PAM127. I have all the DSN parts and was trying to test fit the dial but could not get it go in from the caseback. I also just tried putting an 01b dial and movement in and that does not fit either. Did DSN send me the wrong case set?

I just got my reply back from him this morning, I sent my last email on Monday June 16. My stuff is already on its way like other transactions with him. I'm sure hes swamped with emails so you will get a response.

T - good to hear the update on these crowns, I'll be looking forward to picking up 5-6 of these crowns for the 6497 movement in satin.

He sometimes is slow to respond but I'm sure your stuff is already on its way. He always takes about 2 days to respond and when I check my tracking info the package has always been on its way before his email response.

Close but the one Homer used to sell were the ones with the OFFICINE PANERAI plate inside and with the keyhole at the front. This one is still really nice looking.

I am very new to the rep scene and honestly I would probably wait until The Zigmeister's scheduling is open and available. Even though I'm sure I wont get the opportunity to own a Ziggified piece since he is hand picking the projects. Regardless I'm leaving my watches unmodded on the off chance I am able to have The Zigmeister's work done on them. Thats how good his work is from what I've seen on all the boards and in person, so there is no substitute no matter how 'liberal' the term was used. $.02

Love the watch Robert, but I prefer to see what lens and camera you are using for this shot. Was this with the 1Ds MkIII with your 135 macro lens? I have no idea how you can just hold it one handed with that setup.

Probably not the strap I had on mine had widths of 24/22. You are going to need to buy a strap with the widths 22mm at the lug side and 20mm at the buckle side.

That is a gen honey brown croc strap that I was wearing on the PAM176. You can find them on the pristi accessories corner, I see one coming up for sale just about everyday.
