  1. That's a great idea.Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  2. NDT since the bezel is brass coated so it will aged like the gen.
  3. In addition to my 5513 project, I'm also working on a 6536. I have a Yuki bracelet, however it doesn't fit. I can get the clasp to close, but it's REALLY tight. I had a 5513 with a gen bracelet and it fit perfectly, but it had a little bit of stretch. Any easy way to stretch the bracelet without damaging it? Thanks!!
  4. I think I got a bad crystal:
  5. Mine is the same serial. I'll measure the case neck. Maybe all this over a bad plexi?? Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  6. Well, let me know about your spare 5513 case. thanks! My wife and I eloped back in November but that wasn't the best time to honeymoon. We'll be spending a week in Big Sur and then another week Vegas to visit my parents (we call it post honeymoon since it involves my parents)
  7. Well I wanted to use a Gen Plexi since I have gen pretty much everything else minus the midcase, retaining ring and Yuki caseback. Azgjav's case also had the Polex engraving just like mine. I'm starting to question either the plexi I bought wasn't gen (I bought a second plexi today to try as well, this time NOS dome) or as Auto stated, the cases may vary batch to batch. This could be why the bezel retaining ring had that plastic gasket. If the Rehaut was too small, they made a new plexi to go with the flawed case but used the same retaining ring and just added a plastic "gasket"? I'm not sure that makes a lot of a sense as you'd think if they made a new plexi, they would have made a new retaining ring as well. but who knows, these are $118 reps. I'll update everyone once my new Plexi arrives. However I'm leaving for my Honeymoon on Tuesday so I may not have it by then. If not, I'll update in 3 weeks. And Woof, if you have a spare Josh case, maybe you could send it out to me and I can test my parts and let you know. Thanks!
  8. And here is the other thread with a josh 5513 with polex and gen parts: Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for all your help woof! I picked up a nos t19 do I'll have that to try too. Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm pretty sure the josh case says polex. They member who put a 1570 in his with a milsub dial had polex. What do you guys suggest? Is there another case I should buy? I just don't want to risk installing the grn plexi and bezel since it doesn't fit tight on the rehaut. Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  11. I did. It even has the polex engraving. I don't have a Clark's crystal. To compare it to. I was thinking of trying another gen T19 then asking for a refund if that one fits. However it's more likely that the case is flawed in someway. But I go back because the plexi on the rep fits fine. I doubt the plexi was redone if the case specs were off. And that little plastic gasket was to hold the retaining ring on. Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  12. I got the crystal from eBay. It came in a red service bag as you can see in the video. looks just like all the other gen plexis I've gotten in the past. the sell has good feedback as well.

  14. I'll take a video tonight and upload to this thread. This Josh watch seemed to be a great deal, but none of my gen parts are fitting correctly
  15. Sounds good! I'll send him a pm later today. Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  16. So I've got a Josh 5513 case that I was hoping to fit with Gen parts. I'm new to Rolex so I'm not 100% sure how everything works. I took apart the entire watch and the rep plexi fits snuggly on the case, however it looks to have had a piece of plastic around the base of the plexi for the retaining ring to slip over and hold tight. Once I removed the plastic, the retaining ring no longer slips over plexi and snaps tight. That's okay because I don't plan on using the rep plexi. However when I put the gen plexi on the case, it doesn't sit tight. Is that normal? Does the retaining ring compress the base of the plexi around the case? I did slip over the the retaining ring as it was really tight and didn't want to scratch the plexi. I thought I would ask before I moved forward. Is there supposed to be a gasket or something between the plexi and case? I can post a video if this doesn't make sense. Also, the Gen bezel doesn't fit the rep retaining ring. Would I be better off sourcing a gen retaining ring? Would it even matter if the gen plexi is loose around the case? Thanks!
  17. Yep, gen movement. Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  18. Mainly because I'm looking at a 5513 gilt dial from ingod and the dial doesn't look to be glossy. If so, any easy way to "coat" a dial to give it the glossy look without it looking horrible? Thanks!
  19. This is a great thread that I'll keep my eye on. I want to do a gilt build and have a set of nice aftermarket hands but don't want to use a gen movement if I don't have to.
  20. If I want to build a 1964 franken 5513 with a gen movement, I assume I'd use a 1530 instead of a 1520?
  21. Let me know how you make out with the V1. Do you think the offering of NDT is the same bracelet? I'm looking for a bracelet for my 6536 build and don't want any issues. Thanks!
  22. Crowns came from athaya. He is on HF Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk
  23. Tried to keep them homage, but I did build one before:
  24. Well, the Kampf needs the hands fixed (didn't set them correctly), the keifer needs some paint on the dial around the edges, the cali dial needs realigned and the rads need holes punched in the straps, but other than that, they are done.
  25. Wow, this is nice!
