Just finished my franken 5513 with some help from JMB. However I was unable to install my Gen Tropic 19 myself so I'll have to send it out. Gen Movement Gen Tropic 19 Gen Dial (refinished) Gen Tritium Hands Gen 700 Crown Yuki PCG case (wonky rehaut is the result of his plexi, not the case as seen here) MBW bracelet modified by JMB for gen springbargs

I have a Yuki glossy Gilt dial that's been relumed by PBDad. I also have a set of aftermarket gilt hands, but they will fit the gen 15xx movement. PM me if you are interested. I also have a Yuki plexi as well as his caseback.

H-Factory releases two Tobacco dial classics: PAM61D and PAM56C destro

I also emailed him about a 55. 40 is going to be tough as I don't think they will get the dial numeral shape correct, plus the aged tritium look will be difficult. -
CC33, that 5510 looks great. I've got a very similar project but it's a 6536/1 that a lot of member here gave me great pointers. It's with a modder on here and I hope to have it by the end of the year. Just another dial to consider is the ingod dial. It's not the greatest as the gilt coloring isn't very bright and the dial isn't glossy, but for the price I think the dial print doesn't look that bad (positioning and fonts):

Time Capsule back to 04/05: remember when these were HOT?

Wow, I still can't tell the difference. -
I'm just having horrible luck with my 5513 build (actually my 6536/1 build as well)! I've go through 2 5513 cases that don't seem to fit the gen movement. My watchmaker has been very patient but I can tell he is getting frustrated with all the parts that aren't working correctly. I bought a Josh case but I couldn't get past the stubby lugs. I then bought a case that was supposed to be a MBW but it turned out it wouldn't fit the gen movement. I'm getting frustrated and just want to finish the project. I've even considered Yuki's Pointed Crown Guard case, but he has not replied to any of my emails. I was looking today on InGod's site and I noticed he has a 5513 case: I'm not a pro, but what do you guys think? I'd only use the midcase as I have a gen crown and tube as well as a yuki caseback and MBW bezel assembly. Thanks!

Is this a relume job, or does tritium smear over time?
milesd replied to HauteHippie's topic in General Discussion
It's hard to tell from that photo but here was my 60s 145-012. There was uneven lume from aging but I'm not sure I would call it smearing. Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk -
Looks great. I keep going back and forth on this watch. I'd like a modern sub, but not sure if this is it or not. Does this have his V3 bracelet?

I've got an NDT 6536/1 case and a MBW 5513. I was looking for "OEM" bars and came across this ebay link: http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_2227wt_1071 Is this the best place to get them? I know they aren't OEM, but do they fit the part? Anywhere cheaper? Thanks! EDIT: Searching without the part number yields more results: http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-PCS-SPRING-BAR-FOR-ROLEX-WATCH-SUBMARINER-OR-GMT-PART-/310304839685?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483f9c1805#ht_4831wt_1304

I'm new to Rolex builds but I'm jumping head first. I've got a 6536 and 5513 pretty much done and really want a 1680 red sub. I think this will be a budget build with just a dial, plexi (maybe) and crown swap but keep the stock movement and hands. However a big issue for me is always date wheels. Does the Josh 1680 need a new date wheel cover? And if so, who makes them? Thanks!

Easiest way to add stretch to a Yuki 7206 bracelet?

Thanks!! I'll give it a try!! Sent from my mobile phone using Tapatalk -
All the parts are ready to go (minus hands), but I need to find a modder to assemble this puppy: And here is the Yuki case back: I feel a bit dumb as I have all these gen parts and the dial is still rep. I guess I'll just get it together as is and attempt to find a gen dial for it at some point.

Back from my trip. The NOS stock plexi fits better, but not as tight as the rep. However as long as it's tight, I think the retaining ring will fit nicely to hold the plexi in place. Also, my Yuki case back and InGod dial arrived. I've tested the case back fit and it's perfect!
-
Man, that InGod dial looks great! I have one coming in for for my 5513 and I was thinking about having it relumed, but I think I'll stick with it as is! As Freddie said, the crown will REALLY help!
-
Slight hold up. The seller sent me a NOS Tropic 127 instead of the 19. I'm leaving on my trip tomorrow evening so I'll update this thread at the end of the month.
