Hi there...
I have a YM Rolesium, and wanted to get the "works" done to it so it's closer to real.
There were actually a couple people here that were supposedly very good at these, but for some reason I cannot find the emails from them for the life of me!
Have a look for in the rolex section at who has done there own mods, i could give you a list of who has done it but i dont know if they just do there own or take work in as well. Good luck
By the way have you voted yet we have the chance to get something new made!!
-
Welcome back, still quite a few people doing mods but mostly polexes i think what do you want modding?
-
Welcome lots to chose from here but be carefull it is addictive
-
Always some thing going on here, i started over there but found my self here more and more as there is more going on. Welcome

Hi willkommen in forum
Ich bin auch in Deutschland, NRW und du?
Was denkst du uber Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk have a look below!
-
Personally I don't see the Seal Hawk becoming a huge seller,.. the thickness at 20mm automatically
cuts too many people from the possibliity of ownership... it's too overbearing for many to handle.
There are plenty of pam wearers what would put the majority off wearing a seahawk but not a pam, i think it would be OK.

Don't forget that EL's 127 is the only one at the moment that have the updated swan neck movement with much better engraving.
This is a good pont to making the back look a lot better, the engraving on this movement with the smaller font helps a hell of a lot. on the down side it lacks the correct swans neck. It doeas have the correct escarpment bridge as opposrd to the [censored] fond on some works with the correct swans neck. The canon pin loos to be only slightly recessed and that is a good point i could personaly live with that. E0117 case by the looks of it as well (i personaly have the E0581 and dont have a problem apart from the crystal i broke) your choice correct adjuster or engraving seams to be the big question here for me.

Please please please correct me if im wrong but i dont think the power reserve on the Seahawk can be replicated!!!!!
If we use the ETA 2892 with SOPROD Power reserve, i think the Power reserve indicator moves in a clockwise direction. ie starting from the upper left which would be zero and moving to the upper right which would be full power.
The Seahawk's Power reserve is opposite to this. Its Power reserve moves in an anticlockwise direction ie starting from the bottom left which would be zero and moving to the bottom right which would be full power.
So this to me means that the soprod ETA 2892 movement cant be used, maybe the Seahawk has a special movement??
Please someone tell me ive been staring at this screen for too long.....
I have faith that is this is chosen the makers even id they have to make a modual will do it right, come on vote for sea hawk!!!!!!!

but these arent swiss watches...they are mass produced in asia
And where do you think the componant parts from all these Swiss watches are made (not the in house movements)
-
Sea Hawk in Ti please
-
oh noooooooooooo
please not titanium....
i hate this f**ing titanium
sorry
I think it looks best in Ti, but brushed SS looks good Ti is best though

Any one interested in a pair of AP catalogues 2005/2006 and 2006/2007, In german but they have some great photos. Pretty hefty books A4 hardbacked, PM me if any one is interested
-
well, not my cup of tea but I think is not easy to replicate: real power reserve over a ETA movement, non-standard date font plus HE valve (still not perfect in all the seadweller reps)...
c'mon guys, go for the aquatimer...
Power resever should be no problem, They all havea bad date wheel font may be the would get it right on this one, and if Jay is gona build one from the Gen then why would the HE valve not work, and as for thw Aquatimer it is being done from what i read here!

Oh yest Seahawk Pro Im for that one !!!!!!!!!
-
Well, if a Noob can put his two cents in here are my picks.
1. Sea Hawk
2. Seamaster 300
or any other vintage Omega
Toni
Nice one Toni same choices as me! Exactly?
-
vintage SM300 has already been rep'd - it's called the Precista PRS-14 and it's actually waterproof and very functional... I have one
Yer but it says presista and not OMEGA, rolexex have been reped as well and they are called Invicta and Sandoz
-
OK..... 8 pages and it keeps going??Q!!!
I had a LOT to drink tonight, with my giood froiend Quarks... He even saved my life (sotrt of) :LOIL
Anyway, I just gottsa say that I'm completely with Neil in regards to your choices...
What TF is with you guys choosing these inexpensive watches like Fortis, Omega, Oris eta al ad nauseum when we actrually have a choice of some great watches that would normally cost a bundle.... I just don't get it.
Choose a great simple watch (please no frihgggin Rolex for Fcks sake) and lets get on wityh it.
Anyone whoi wantsd an Omega, please go to the AD and buyn one... Geeeez get a fckn clue
And then, nominate m e vfor pst od the month, cuz i just proof read this and its dreadful LOL
I am with you on this, and the seahawk is not to far from reach come on hands up for the seahawk
-
4, with a bit of success, but not always lol, got a few bita and bobs in the bits box.
-
I have a vintage "Westend Watch Co" military watch that does the same with an older ETA in it, Must remember to get it repaired.
-
That device was mentioned in the book "The Last Templer" and the greek isle
-
OK so no onew wants a 1-1 rep of a Railmaster XL, im off to sulk in the corner, But! before i do i will make a final 2 votes, a first and second choice of what has come up tonight.
1. Sea Hawk
2. Seamaster 300
@ Richard if this comes off would it be possible that we could coment on the samples and recify any faults before we go to press so to speak therfore every one being happy with 1st Generation not like the PO. Also as this would be a limited piece better QC, i am sure that people will pay the extra for that on such a piece.

Okay, the pam63 just arrived and is supposed to be a swiss eta 2836-2....When i opened the caseback just now everything looked as it should (small gold movement) but the automatic spinning piece did not say "twentyfive jewels swiss made" on it. Instead the piece said panerai all over it.(i do see the eta symbol where it should be and 2836-2)........Everything else looks just like a swiss eta 2836-2 i have seen in pics exept the spinning piece not saying "twentyfive jewels swiss made" and the words panerai over and over on a small piece on the spinning part of the movement.........Do you think this is still genuine swiss eta or a new Chinese copy?...................Please let me know if anyone else has seen this?............Thanks, Wan
I would say it has something to do with China, it could be a Chiss or a swinese version!
a pic would help of course

Gotta love this JLC! I've searched for a nice rep of this to no avail. Wish it was a few mm larger though.
Can you list all the popular models that have the intended movements and we can choose from there?
Noobs like me are clueless what drives every watch out there but we know what looks good.
Well basicly any thing with the seconds at 3 (it could be a lefty) or 9 or center seconds, no chrongraphs, no alarms as the choice of movement does not allow for them, GMT should be possible and power reserves though!
-
@ crystalcranium thanks for that i could be swayed, there are just so many others to go for.
