Actually Rolex discontinued the RG, WG and YG Oyster bracelets for the DayDate / President this year. Sad but true

Would you sell a single dial?
Having watches from HK shipped to Germany is difficult - customs will check nearly everything from east of poland. But watchparts are easy to get in...
-
I'd take one - does not matter how the case is as long as the case back and the dial are good.
-
I received the crown today and you'll guess easily what I did when I came home... Ate something Second thing was changing the crown.
It does fit perfectly the standard rep CGs as well as V's CG, but I need a longer crown stem. The thread on T's crown is bored a lot deeper than on my rep crown, therefore I need the longer stem to mount the crown correctly. But thats nothing big - a stem is about 5 Euros at the local watchsmith.
You won't believe what a huge difference the crown makes in real life!!! With both rep and T crown next to each other the difference is only small, but when the crown is on the watch it looks soooo damn nice, simply amazing.
The quality is unbelievably good, too. Worth every penny...
-
All parts, the base watch to start with and the box were about 660 USD alltogether.
-
I can try them on a standard rep 111H with standard CG and with V's CG as well... And I am in Germany.

The now very sought-after early Explorer II with cream dials had white gold markers. The current white dials have black marker surroundings as said before.
The only accurate EXP II reps are the ones with black dials

Can you give further information on the technical details, especially its capabilities regarding bluetooth and communication with hands-free systems?
What software does it use and which languages are possible?
-
No, that are just reflections. The crown remained unchanged.
-
On the pics it looks nice, but the serial no is different from my MBK / Euromariner / WM9...
-
My Euromariner is still in the modding process, but all I can say is WOW!
The case is spot on after some minor mods - just a little grinding on the crown guards and you are there.
Definitely THE watch to start with to have a perfect Submariner.
And Chris is a pleasure to deal with!

Heyho,
in the last four weeks I tinkered with the idea of a YG or RG Rolex, a YG or RG DayDate in particular.
So I just thought I'd ask you what experiences you've made with these reps concerning durability, feel and looks. And what watches you have - please share some pics with me
Regards,
M.

yeah someone had 2 or 3 gen 16610 dials for sale here somewhere..
Yep, that was me but all are sold.

IMO he invented arrogance back in the eighties when he founded Chronoswiss.
I was wearing a gen TT Rolex Datejust when I met him which is not adequate to get one of his catalogues according to him.
Actually it is worth the trip to meet him. It will give you a completely new definition of arrogance, which makes it a lot easier to deal with people you thought they were arrogant. After meeting Gerd Lang there are not half as much people deserving the title arrogant as before.
-
According to the seller or better donator - who I know very well - it is working. I've dealt with him many times before and therefore trust him... The 8 Euros were the shipping costs I paid him, he gave me the movement for free
The movement itself is new, but has to be regulated and serviced before installation. Nothing I can't do myself

Thank you very much
I have everything I need for the watch except for the rotor which I am going to replace with an asian one.

Hey guys,
I made a super deal on an ETA 7750, but it is missing the Rotor. I bought it anyway - 8 Euros is cheap enough
It is still on its way to me, but one thing is bothering me: Would a lowbeat A7750 rotor fit the ETA 7750?
Thanks for your help very much!

Take a trip to the next Basel World, have a little conversation with Gerd Lang (founder and owner of Chronoswiss) and then decide, if you ever want to wear one of his watches.
I'd refuse even if it was a present.
-
Hey GS Maniac, I'll have a Noobdial with ETA feets in spare in a week or two. You have a PM.
I'll show my Euromariner in a few days. At the moment I am waiting for a gen crystal gasket and a set of hands with better lume to match the gen dial...

Lovely watch
I begin to like the white 1680 more than the red...

That was the only issue with the cg from the beginning.. since it is raw metal just brushed industrially 2-3 times.
The original is mirror polished and then fine brushed on top of it to have that shiny look. WHich would have been more expensive and definately time-consuming to polish them and then re-brush them.
Thankfully achieving the perfect finish is not that difficult as rolli has shown in his thread by just polishing the cg a bit and then re-brush it with a scotch brite green pad.
I've done it rolli's way, too. I think everybody agrees that brushing your nearly perfect crownguard is a lot better than having it done by the manufacture for a huge amount of money. Your CGs are just perfect for us!

Uuh that sounds veeery interesting.
Would be nice to see some pics though

As said before in Kelster's thread the MBW is far too flat. The midsection should be raised slightly to look gen (marked on one of the pictures from above in the attachment).
Check http://www.bjsonline.com/watches/articles/0011.shtml to see SEL and LEL in comparison. A SEL does NOT look like an LEL.
Second thing is the variety of SELs: SeaDweller and Submariner have different bands and different SELs. Actually there are 63 different Oyster Bracelets in production at the moment which most of have different end links...

I thought they use the same case?
