  1. I wonder what dealer could offer the best out of the box Panerai 177H with a nice reliable lume ?

I contact DNS because I thought its watches were good. But I read lots of bad reviews about him (and some goods :)

but 430$ for my first rep is a little bit too much

And I really would like to be sure to get a Panerai with what makes a Panerai : the nice lume !

  2. docdoc, no PAM has a flat glass. Period. Pics or no pics. They are either slightly domed or highly domed.

The slightly domed are flat in their inner surface, so they are about 1-1.5mm thicker in their center point than along their border.

In the highly domed, the inner crystal surface follows the outer surface in its dome, so they are thinner than the slightly domed.

    The 111 is slightly domed.

Great ! that's clear. Sorry for all the dumb questions

  3. docdoc, the crystal you are after is usually called "domed".

You will find it in vintage PAMs (like that in your pic) and in PAMs with the so-called "1950" case, either 44mm or 47mm.

Examples of 44mm are: the 212, 213, 253, and many J- and K- series models like the 270, 275, 286, 289... (it looks as the OP recently discovered that many PAM fans actually like them in the end).

    Examples of 47mm are: the 127, 203, 217, 276.

    Thanks a lot :)

  4. I am not really aware of all the models of panerai.

I think the 127 very nice but the golden hands makes me wonder…

So I would like to know if there were some other Panerai watches

    which have "curved" glass.

I found this pict on a forum (can't remember where, sorry for that)

and I would also like to know what model it is.

    thanks in advance ;)

  5. thanks for the answers. I was wondering for the size of this baby ! Maybe a smaller one but with the distinctive bubble look may fit better ! I 'll go digging ;)

As this watch is big I was wondering about the "wheel" (I don't know the exact word) on the right that might hurts my wrist. That's why my second choice went to the PAM217H and its wheel on the left that I thought much more practical.

If you're easily pleased you can get a new one for @ $100.

all the one I see are around 200/250$ :(

  6. I check the forum but couldn't find a thread dedicate only to legendary watches.

So I open this one so people could share their most legendary watches (pics very welcome).

By legendary I mean watches that brought innovation and revolution in the history of time.

Here is my favorite one :

the omega moonwatch speedmaster with the classic back (that's an easy one !)

  7. Hello,

Since I discover this forum I cannot stop searching for some cool watches !

I discovered the PAM127 and it looks awesome (maybe a little bit to big ?).

I wonder which version you would buy ?

the one from perfect clones with the sapphire glass front and back but not modded.

Or the one from Pure time with the modded option (extra lume+cannon).

Is the lume of the one from perfect clones doesn't last or it is ok.

And as I am a newbie what does "cannon pin fix" means ?

Are they any other Panerai "bubble glass" watch that you would recommend to buy ?
