oh yah ur right. the mag would just run the look! The only drawback on my euromariner is the crown and date wheel! I can probably source the crown from BK, but the datewheel is the prob. Any ideas where I can get a gen style one? -

absolutely no one has a response to this? -
A lot of us guys don't have the luxury of owning gens or the new WM9 watches (they're still back ordered), but we do have other Rolexes with imperfect, misaligned, or too big date wheels. For anyone with a 1:1 datewheel, is it possible to photocopy it onto thin white sticker paper and paste it directly on our current date wheels? This way we won't have to replace our current date wheels, and can be a cheap and very good mod. I guess the only issue would be the clearance of the sticker paper just a thought---any input?

looks like my euromariner the crown looks too big

Gonna build a Rolex Daytona-- a few Q's for the professionals
omegaguy replied to omegaguy's topic in The Rolex Area
looks like i'm gonna scrap the project for now. You're right. sourcing the right parts would be next to impossible, plus if it's not accurate, what's the point. I always see the two tone daytonas much cheaper than the SS daytonas too. are the SS ones really THAT rare? -
Hey guys, another question I can't seem to find the answer to I recieved my GMTIIC in the mail today from subzero, and it's simply a great rep. I'm blown away by it.....except the crystal. The clarks on my Euromariner is much more clearer and the GMT does not have the correct magnification on the bubble. Anyone fit their GMT with Clarks and have the part #s for the crystal/gasket? Also, would need to know where to source it Thanks.

Gonna build a Rolex Daytona-- a few Q's for the professionals

I did--but it doesn't say anything about the actual thickness of the case. Ive bought from Andrew before, so i'm comfortable using him, but if someone could measure their THINNER case, that'd be great. Also, doesn't say what's actually different between the two dials. (just want to know if it's worth paying the extra to get the second watch) also, were u able to source the bezel and caseback? -
Alright guys, i've been looking around the forums, and I think i'm on the verge of starting a Dayton project. Just had a few questions: 1- There are two types of cases, a thick one, and the proper thin one. When searching on trustytime's website, some of his daytons are 14mm thick and some are 12.5mm thick. i'm assuming the 12.5 mm is the correct one, but needs adjustments on the crown guards. can anyone confirm this? 2- The caseback is supposed to be flat, anyone know where I can source this? the reps come with the wrong casebacks 3- The bezel should be flatter---anyone know where I can source this? Also, is there a clarks crystal available for this watch? I can't stand looking at those engraved crowns in the crystal. That and the clarks is just amazing. 4- The white faced dial on the thinner cased daytona apparently is not as good as the white face on the thicker cased one. What are the differences? Is there a way to source the better dial without having to buy the second watch? 5- Any other inconsistencies from Gen I should be looking at? Are the chrono pushers similar or completely different? looks the same in comparable pics. 6- After all's said and done, i'm gonna get some The Zigmeister lume on it. Am I missing anything? I have a WM9 YachtMaster on order, gonna be getting the WM9 V2 sub right away as well (and getting rid of my euromariner), have a GMTII CHS on the way and want a Daytona to complete the collection. I know the secs at 6 is not a very reliable movement, but i'm willing to take that risk. I have a local watchsmith that's able to work on these watches. Please help me out guys.

nm, just saw the link----what part do you sand?
-
What is this retaining ring in the bezel? is it that slim ring that sits underneath the click spring? That needs sanding? it's so slim as it is

no one? dealers please chime in

i just bought the same watch from another member--waiting for it to arrive, but he mentioned that it works fine, and then all of a sudden it stops---you have to tap it or shake it to get it moving again. Same issue i assume, i won't know what the answer is till i get the watch and have it looked at by a local watchsmith, but keep me updated if you find a solution thanks.

I currently have a black face Broadarrow, but i'm looking to buy another one with the correct curved bracelet links. Anyone know where I can source it? or even if I can just source the curved link bracelet and caseback, and rotor. Long story short, at a drunken party the caseback somehow fell off and the rotor as well. I have another caseback, but it's the moon watch caseback. Ideally i'd like to source the bracelet, caseback, and rotor, otherwise i'd like to buy a new one but HAS to have the correct curved bracelet links.

Agreed! Although, you'd have to buff out the light scratches on mine first. has box and everything.
-
nm, just checked the website. $158 I'd let the Gen go for $330 if anyone's interested
-
I have a ladies Gen of this watch I'm trying to get rid of. I should've posted it! Howmuch did the rep cost you?

After 7 months of waiting... My WM9 16622 YM is in my hands...
omegaguy replied to ubiquitous's topic in The Rolex Area
PICS!!! I'm still waiting for mine---seems like forever -
I had bought a gen crown to install on my Euromariner as well----but the crowns were both identical, that I never ended up doing it. They're exactly the same
-
The part of the bracelet that goes into the rear of the clasp. you can pull it down and pop it out to increase the length of the bracelet.
-
Pics look good. I think you're one of the first to finally receive this long awaited watch! Any pics of the bracelet? Also, does the divers extension hold in place well when closed or does it pop out? I had a WM9 before, and the divers extension would always pop out. Didn't know if that was an issue with just my watch or all

also--does the date numbers line up correctly in the windows---more interested in the single digit numbers
