Were you able to sort it? Swaging tool? Maybe you can use a pin and use that tool on it?

Ebel is not available anymore i think, you can always email the dealers and try your luck. I would go for the white numbers, its a classic. Good luck! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

Ebel Discovery Panda has been sold out for A YEAR!
slask111 replied to AlexBPM's topic in Other Brands Area
So sad to hear that the Ebel is not for sale anymore. Its a great watch. I love mine I have a TAG link Chrono blue dial. It was my first decent rep. i LOVE it. The quality is great, the bracelet is just awsome. It only needs a new datewheel to be perfect to the gen. I would prefer a aftermarket AR just to let that dial show itself, even though the gen does not have it. Actually i had my tag for sale a while ago but decided not to sell it. Feel free to pm me -
Hehe ok thnx for the info. I will try with epoxy/locktite for the bracelet and wait and se if someone has a spare pin or something. Otherwise this is going to the sales section...
-
Dont know mastermindalliance. I will look at all the spare pins i have for this PO tomorrow. But to me it looks like the pin for the clasp is flattened but the ones one the bracelet is not. I dont se how it should get flattened when it is fitted.
-
Hmm it seems that the original pin for the clasp is not long enough to bend. On the attached picture the pin is inserted. On a general note, im not impressed by the pins for this bracelet. The pins is not secure enough, if feels like they are going to fall out any second. I guess epoxy is your friend in this case..
-
The pin does have flatened ends, and the pins for the bracelet seems to be straight. So i dont se how i can use a pin from the bracelet. But i will try to use your solution specialvat.
-
Hi, It seems that my v.5 PO hit the rocks the other day and the bracelet decided not to work anymore. The pin that is holdning the clasp link together went A-wall. It seems to be a screw in type, and the screw went missing. But i cant se any threads in the pin so im not 100% aboout it. Is there a way to source a new pin so that i can use this watch? Its the asian cheapo movement, so no point buying a new strap thats almost the same price as a whole new watch. Anyone that can help me out i would appriciate it alot. Sry for the english.. it seems that the more time you spend typing in english.. the worse you get

Wise words FROGMAN, thank you for that. I know what you mean. I have as i said earlier had both the 45 and 42mm rep and have always felt that i just neeeed the gen. Its the grail for me. I do love the Abyss aswell, the 44mm. But that is a new watch and i feel that i havent had the same "must have before i die" feeling about it. You are right, i should go to that AD and get a good deal for a brand new one. Downpayment or not, i know i will enjoy every second of owning that watch. This is the "bad" road with this forum. First reps.. then gens Now.. i can live with a rep Abyss 44mm when/if thats avalile.. but a gen Planet Ocean is what i really need to own. Thnx for all the input. I have realised that even if my local AD is not the best deal.. its still a gen, and i will love it.. whatever the cost.
-
Ah yes the new model. Seems like a pretty good raise in cost though. I love the Titanium with blue dial. But 5.000-8.000$ is just insaine for a gen PO. I rather wait/hope for the old version to go down in price. I so understand what you mean FROGMAN regarding the franken. There is just nothing compared to a gen i guess. To be honest, i have no idea what to do. Maybe get the Superocean II haha, thoose are good priced atlest
-
Thnx for all the input. I have a deal on a gen 45mm that gives me a 12 month payment plan without extra charges. Just a straigt downpayment. I have owned both the 42 and 45mm rep and i feel that the 45mm is the one for me, even though i have cinda small wrists. The 42 is just a tad to small for my taste. And i agree with previous speakers, you shouldnt buy stuff that you cant afford.. but i dont want to wait 12 months to get one.. Im also looking into a rep franken. I have not liked the AR and pearl on the reps and thats why i dont have any Planet Ocean reps anymore. But with thoose two problems sorted.. a franken might just be what i should look for...

Nikki has been away for a few weeks due to personal reasons. But no worries im sure he will reply to your emails asap. -
Mmhhh. When i talk to my friends and mention that i can get a Gen planet ocean for about 4.000$ they just think im crazy. But for me (us), who se IWC, AP, Rolex etc retail prices 4.000$ is a bargain. Entry level so to speak... Four years ago 200$ was insaine for a watch..
-
I saw a few over at watchuseek.com, they look great and yes prices are alot better over there then retail. I guess i have to start saving some money as you said subbiesrock. Damn forum that got me into this hobby.

Good luck Krister, i hope you get your black 1911. Its a great watch! -
Hi, I have been around this forum for a few years and the grail for me has always been the Planet Ocean XL. I was just about to press the buy button on a local AD Internet shop but decided to post here first. Where would you buy a Gen Omega online? Im looking for ok service, better aftermarket service and a great price. Downpayments? yeah sure The local dealer gave me a price at 3.980$ for a 45mm Planet Ocean with black bezel and white numerals. Can that be beaten? Ill be honest, new or used dosent matter.. but downpayments is important to me. I deserve a gen.. i just cant afford it straight up
-
Now we are just waiting for a good SS strap...
-
Great pics crossbones! I almost pulled the trigger on a white dimple yesterday but no i really want the black or blue. But i want it to be a big one. How big is your wrist crossbones? Now maybe the 45mm UNMMD is the one for me.. I havent seen any pictures or reviews of it though...

What does your avatar & nickname mean, and why?

Great stories behind the nics, love to read this post I remember finding this forum when i was about to travel to Thailand for the first time. I thought that i was able to pick up a nice watch in Thailand and wanted to know what to expect. I googled "replica watch" and found myself on dealer sites where i could get a gen Swiss 78 jewels Rolex for 700€ etc etc. I also found this forum and thought it would be a good idea to join. I had no idea what to expect, and as other here before me i just choosed a nic fast with no intention on actually be a longterm member. I was wrong Slask is the folder on your computer where you put your unsorted stuff.. like "misc". 111... well that was really easy to type. So then Slask111 was born. Now i use it on all watch related sites, but nowhere else. I have alot of nics.. but i use Slask the most nowadays. Then the avatar.. well i wanted my nick to get noticed so why not use an avatar with my nick in it.. and the background of the avatar is my country flag. Some heavy photoshoping went into that one -
