  1. Looking real good. Thanks for all the hard work.
  2. This is not good. I know the sinking feeling you get when a tracking number for an item you've been anxiously awaiting suddenly indicates the item has been delivered, and it's not to you. Really a bad feeling, and I hope you get your rep back from paneraifreak. GL
  3. Whichever is the case, the latest bid was over $4K so the new owner is about to find out. FWIW, I agree with those who think it looks painted red.
  4. Lovely family, sport. All you need is a 113 white dial to really cover the bases?
  5. The date display looks better, IMO, without the cyclops. Very nice watch.
  6. Thanks, Toad. PureTime has been suggested as a possibility.
  7. I've done a reasonable search and can find no source for IWC CD blue rubber strap replacements. Mine is nearly torn in half at one of the holes and the unique configuration of the lug makes it nearly impossible, it seems to me, to replace the strap with anything but one just like the original. I could find nothing on this topic using the search function. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really like this watch, but the strap is about to become non-functional.
  8. Hola! fleed. Welcome to RWG. I lived in Rota, Spain while stationed at the naval base there from 1974 - 1976. It's a beautiful country and I loved every minute of time I had off duty to explore the countryside, do some tapa-hopping and eat fabada at Meson de Montaines near Puerto de Santa Maria where I also took in a few bull fights at the corrida. That was 32 years ago, and they say a lot of things change in a place in that kind of time, but I remember southern Spain as being a great place to live with wonderful people who were very warm and friendly. The fiesta de caballos and fino quinta parties lasting three days and nights were especially memorable. Good to have you. That said from another relatively new member. Gene
  9. I was sitting in a KFC in Anaheim near my workplace and the building started to shake, rattle & roll. You could tell the first-timers, they held out their arms and turned in circles while looking up for some reason, and then dashed outside with most of the workers while I sat calmly finishing my chicken strips believing the worst was over after only a few seconds. I'm a native Californian living here most of my 67+ years, all except for 21 years served in the Navy. My home in Westminster suffered only a couple of unimportant items falling off shelves and getting broken. But, one of the engineers at work lives in Diamond Bar and he got a call from his daughter telling him the inside of their house was a disaster, so he took off to check it out.
  10. That's a bummer! I don't know how many similar close calls I've had because of, in my case, not paying enough attention. I hope there's no permanent damage and that you are able to recover completely soon.
  11. Gorgeous watch. I really like the looks of a white face Daytona, and you've done a great job putting one together.
  12. Very impressive! Something to look forward to .................................................. in my dreams. Thanks for sharing great photos of an awesome collection and stunning storage for it.
  13. All great high resolution photos. Well done. Excellent presentation.
