  1. Pho is right. As someone new to the world of reps, I wanted direct answer from the veterans too. But the more I read, the more I realised that the answers that the helpful bros here give may be good and insightful but not one that is "customised and tailored" to what you may need. So it will be really good for you to plough through the invaluable wisdom and knowledge that have been left behind by our forefathers!
  2. Congrats bro! This is a very beautiful watch, and the shots are very well taken. In fact, as a newbie I have never consider B&M till I see this post! Once again, nice watch!
  3. Happy for you, Corgi! Me still waiting for my 1st rep to arrive.
  4. Thanks ARR, Freddy, Vric and Chubb for your help and info. Mine is a Breitling Montbrilliant from EuroTimez. I guess it's down to fear of damaging the strap that is holding me back from even thinking it is possible to do it myself. As this is going to be my 1st rep, I just wanna to play safe but at the same time I know I need to learn how to do it myself eventually. Thanks again, will keep you guys update on my progress soon!
  5. This may sound really stupid but I gave him my wrist size. Ha ha ha! Guess I might need to take out those old watch and start experimenting with adding and removing of the links.
  6. Hi, Seemed to me that everyone here has the ability to add/reduce links to/from the stainless watch strap to accomodate the wrist. At least nobody talks about it when buying reps. Me, I even have to specifically instruct my dealer to do it for me for my 1st rep which has yet to arrive. Is there something wrong with me or is this something (adjustment of strap) that can be done easily? Cheers! Cara J
  7. Thank you, it was a good read and very informative.
  8. Phew, man that's simply mind blowing. Great gesture!
  9. The passion! The people! The reality of this forum! These are what attracted me to this forum and RWI. IMO these 2 forums are alive with real, passionate people discussing their love for watch, debating and fighting for their love for watch. When I stumbled upon RWG & RWI, I was just looking for a cheap alternative to expensive, high end watch. But the more I read on I got sucked in by the energy, the "realness", the pure emotional contents that filled this place. I may sound exaggerating but here I see years of toils and efforts by members new & old to build a place they can call their own. A gathering where like-minded peolpe can, for a while, put down their daily burden and talk about their passion. Sure I see posts & threads I disagree but that's life. I hope to continue to enjoy this place and be accepted as part of the family. Cheers!
  10. yES, COUNT ME IN. I'M FOR GOOD WATCH ANYTIME.
  11. Hi, Anyone with pic of his/her MontBrilliant?
  12. Wow, I just joined and there is a gtg and it's in Singapore! But my rep has not even arrived yet. Bummer. My ideal venue will be Burger King next to Amara Hotel. It is big and quiet during weekend as offices in that area will be vacant. 5 min walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT and no lack of carpark lots.
  13. This is outstanding. Will read it again to digest better.
  14. Dear all, I would be heading to China (Shanghai, Shen Zheng and Hong Kong) for a well deserved 2 weeks break. As a newbie, should I purchase my reps there? and what should I look out for? Cheers! Cara
  15. Hi guys, This is THE realm I have been searching for! I know I will definitely enjoy myself in this forum in knowing more about rep! Cheers! Cara
