  1. Thanks guys....really appreciate the input.
  2. I bought this as a gen and paid as a gen price. The good thing is the thread is like new and fit perfectly to my gen tube. Could experts help to chime in and verify that this crown indeed is a gen? Thanks in advance.
  3. Ofrei part number FB-7895. Here you go: http://www.ofrei.com/page_155.html#19219 I just measured mine with caliper: bar diameter 2mm, pivot diameter 1.2mm, bar length 19.70mm, total length including pivot 25.30mm.
  4. Same thing happen to me...not been able to login to the geek. Something wrong with the database.
  5. Thanks guys. I intent to keep it. I can foreseen some improvements in the future The good thing about vintage, the more it was used..the better...
  6. For some people this might be a d
  7. Thanks again guys for the info. The Jules Borel 726 part is out of stock but they put me in backorder. It has been 2 weeks now and I don't hear anything from them. I guess Freddy is right. They just haven't update their system.
  8. Thanks Alligoat. I actually check with Blake yesterday...haha. I did a lot of search and sent tons of email He replied to me that the forth wheel that he has is for 7733 not V72. Also, the price is outrageous. Supply and demand I guess..
  9. Did a quick search and found this: http://www.btinternet.com/~chealwatch/valjoux72.htm I thought I'll share to everyone here in case some one need it in the future
  10. Thanks again everyone. I contacted Cousin UK, Watchpart.co.uk, Ofrei and some of the ebay sellers. None of them carry this part Does anyone have the diagram of Valjoux 72?
  11. Thanks vlaletom. This part number really helpful for me to hunt for the part....really appreciate you're sharing this information. My local watchsmith can overhaul and fix the movement for me with a very decent price. But, he doesn't have the part
  12. Please share when you get the correct case back. I am doing the custom engraving right now that probably not going to be 100% accurate and it costs a lot. I will share when it's done.
  13. After I had the DW 6263 - A7760 assembled by Spinmaster for a while, I decided to do the V72 DW 6263. I bought the Zodiac watch with a nice movement a while back ago and wore that watch regularly. Thanks to many member especially ken fingerlove to give me some direction how to contact DW. I bought the case set and get them very fast within 5 days. The good news is the case can be fitted to the movement without any modification. I heard many horror story that the case need to be trimmed down or modified to take V72. I don't know if I just got lucky or DW has improved his case, but mine fit directly. The problem start when I took out the crono hands, the pinion on the seconds chrono (9 o'clock) broke and got taken off together with the chono hand. The mistake that I made: I did not stop the balance wheel with Rodico and let the movement run while I took off the seconds chrono hand. Any idea where to get the parts? It looks like the pinion is link together and go all the way through the jewel on the top to connect to 2 wheels below. I would really appreciate if someone can give me some advice or ran into this situation before. Thanks.
  14. Very nice and creative. The watch looks nice with all the vintage works.
  15. Thanks for all the help everyone. @redwatch: Congrats for your watch. It worth all the efforts that you put Thanks a lot for all your replies to my PMs. @gavidoc: the one from 2 weeks ago with different lume color on hands was actually sold just a little bit over 2K, not the asking price..I also contact the seller but a bit late. I saw yours in WUS if not mistaken. Looks nice!
  16. Thanks P. The price is actually in the highest range.
  17. I know we have a lot of experts and fans in Tudor Snowflake here. Please help to give me some input what is the fair value of this Snowflake. According to seller: Correct folded oyster bracelet with proper end links, new correct authentic Rolex pearl in the bezel and a new old stock Rolex acrylic crystal. Not sure if the dial and hands are original from this watch or replacement; expert please chime in. Thanks in advance.
  18. Thanks to ken fingerlove for sharing this information. I have V72 from my vintage watch for a while that I am thinking to convert it to 6263. With J help and direction, I just ordered the DW kit and start the project. Many thanks for answering all my PM and give me some directions. Also, thanks to freddy333. I will not open another thread about my project but will briefly post my result here as well. The kit will arrive in 2 weeks. Let's see what happen
  19. Hahaha....looks like there's going to be a PO couple in your collections, like your Daytona couple.
  20. Nice Ubi! The gen bezel and bracelet really bring it to the next level. I thought mine is finish...now you make want to get those parts Here is the orange brother:
  21. I saw on the sales section...couldn't remember here or other forums, that someone was selling the blue dial one which is incorrect for Pam 089. But if you like the blue dial one, you probably need to wait until it comes out in the sales thread. Good luck! I will keep an eye and let you know if I see one for sale.
  22. I love the 3717-02 Spitfire. I was thinking to get the used gen one but decided to just build a franken one. The rep has a couple of small flaws but I still love it. I'm building a franken one with gen ETA 7750. I will post a picture when I get a chance.
