You got the v1 with the 3,6,9,12 lume which is closer to the gen.
That is a good start for a nice project.
Get it relume, change the date wheels with ETA and send the crystal to double ARer and it looks like a gen.
I have the same concern about the thickness before I got the 253.
My wrist is 6.5 and it fit perfectly fine.
Here is a picture of the 253 from the side (too bad I don't have a wrist shot):
Cheers..
Congrats on your new purchase.
I have just recently mod my UPO, so I know some of the answers.
2. I swap the dial myself. I got the dial from Silix with the correct logo. It is pretty easy for novice like me. But if you don't want to get your hand dirty, send it to Vac or Rex.
3. Don't buy the cheap bezel insert in ebay. You can get a decent on that close to the gen for $35 in ebay. Please note that you will need to flatten the pearl in you UPO. The pearl in UPO is mounted to the bezel while the gen bezel insert has the pearl build it. The better rep bezel insert in ebay also have the pearl build in ..like the gen
4. Not sure how much it cost for the Chief AR. But K2222 AR cost around $50 and $20 crystal removal.
5. Hard to say about the authenticy of the ETA movement. Mine have ETA mark, but I am still not sure
Hope these help!
Cheers.
He sent me the drawing of the new caseback and it has error because I gave him the 224 caseback picture
I ask him to correct it and he is cool with it.
The caseback will be done this Saturday. I post the picture of the new caseback that he will send me.
It is too early to say but in 4 days we will know the result.
Regardless, he is very responsive. He always answer my email in the same day even I only ping him anxiously waiting for my watch and ask him stupid questions.
Not trying to defend him but only want to share my experience:
I just ordered the PAM228 from him 3 weeks ago. I told him that the caseback is wrong. After many emails exchange, he agreed to make a new caseback to correct his reps.
You just have to ask him nicely.
Interesting: from the lux-replica-phone website, it said that the phone support 3G.
http://www.lux-replica-phones.com/product_...;products_id=80
"Does this really have 3G support? And does the phone have an e-mail client?
Yes, Pete, the Ascent Ti supports the 3G network protocl and does have an e-mail client through WAP/GPRS. "
