  1. My Dad's PAM is in need of service. So I am looking for a watchsmith in Houston who can fix a stiff crown on a 127? Anyone have a recomendation? Thanks
  2. I think the disposable term is a little misunderstood. Do I care about my watches? Absolutely! I am very disappointed if a watch dies on me, but if I am going to spend $100+ to service/repair a $200 watch that is over a year old it usually doesn't make sence. Especially if a newer model is availiable. Now my most cherished reps have not died yet so maybe I will change my tune. Most of the time by the time a watch fails it has fallen out of my top 10 favorites already so its not a big concern.
  3. The whole point of reps to me is that they are disposable. When the movement gives out they end up in the garbage and I just get a new one. I always have more watches than days of the week too!!
  4. So I think its down to two watches. Black PO Chrono or Ti Chrono Avenger Opinions?
  5. I threw out my back so I was layed up for NYE
  6. Thats a good point. I am sure I will buy something while I am there for sure. Also I don't think I will be getting a PAM, my collection is already too scewed in that direction!
  7. So I look for any oportunity to get a new watch. So I figured it is very important to have a new watch for vacation. This way I can take only one watch and be satisfied wearing the same one everyday. (At least this is how I am rationalizing it ) So I am off to Thailand and Burma for 3 weeks for a mix of partying, sightseeing and sailing/beach. What current rep would be most appropriate? Anything smaller than 42 mm is a no go, I have a large wrist and like big watches.
  8. The first time I rolled into Golden I was expecting a Coors Commercial with the snow capped rockies, then I saw the big welcome to Golden sign and I figured I was in hick town. Turned out to be a great place to live. Would love to move back to Denver someday.

  10. I am in the same position. I still quite often wear a casual watch with a suite. But some of my favorite dressier watches that I have now are IWC portugues, Cartier Santos and Tag Link Chrono
  11. I have always loved that watch, glad to see a nice rep of it! Also I believe its 41mm
  12. I really want that Chopard too, but I am holding out for the new version.
  13. I am no Omega expert so I thought I would toss this up here. Did Omega ever make a white faced SMP? I couldn't find one on their site, but someone is trying to pawn one off locally, and am wondering if this is a gen or not? Here is a pic
  14. I think that watch actually looks quite large on your wrist. I wouldn't wear anything like a 44mm or 47mm.
  15. I am between a 4-5. Rarely wear the same watch 2 days straight, and generally wear one to work and then something different in the evening. I have favorites that see the light of day 2 or 3 times a week, while others once a month. When I get a new watch it usually gets a full week of wrist time, but interestingly enough my Gens are starting to very little wrist time.
  16. Recently I have found myself picking a watch I wan't to wear that day first, and then trying to find clothes that match. The obvious would be the 45mm Orange PO. I find this funny as you would generally think you should pick your clothes and then just throw on some clothes to match. I think I may be addicted, but I assume I am not alone.
  17. There is a guy at my office that is the same way. I told him that if we start talking about my watch I will divulge that its a replica, but otherwise it is none of his business to blirt it out to anyone we meet (even customers).
  18. Wow this topic got hijacked fast!! If a good big pilot comes out I would be all over it!!
  19. This watch is starting to call out to me! I have a pretty big wrist, and this would make a really fun casual watch.
  20. Is the orange chrono lumed like the original?
