  1. I guess I was in error regarding how unique the Valgranges movements are compared to a 7750 ....I was hoping the Valgranges was an improvement not just a change in size .....would be fun if The Zigmeister could take one apart and give us a rundown @Logan could you elaborate on the "We don't need to wait for valgranges copy's, they are already here and will be prolific very quickly". Is your point that its just a matter of size?
  2. Great wrist shot I have looked at this wonderful watch and I must say it is very nice indeed but I would probably not wear a spectacular pink/red gold watch very often so I will likely not get one of these...yet
  3. Ok I sort of picture the pressure on the watch strapped on to a well built man upon hitting the water surface as the worts possible moment for a watchs water resistance...I guees we have come as far as we can. thank you.
  4. I am pleased Still according to my formulae Force = Mass x Acceleration the persons weight should matter quite a bit....even if the object accelerate at the same speed and thus have the same impact velocity the mass increases the force of impact the impact.........maybe I am making some mental error here?
  5. I must say that i did not expect this question from you PIX....you certainly have enough crowns to screw on with that one. looks like a SEA-Gull produced movement to me (but I guess the movement design was originaly from the soviet union) There is certainly something wrong with it if it responds to shaking...send it back to the dealer regards Gunnar
  6. Thank you very much Sir Berg It pleases me that I am being appreciated. The RWG mentality is an important part of me. Long live RWG Gran
  7. @crystalcranium I once did premed at UofH (Houston) long time back when Akeem A was hot with the basketball but I traveled back to Norway cause i was in love with a girl there and I did not become a physician..thank god I have a PhD in Molecular biology, I have been professor qualified and have a permanent position at my institute. I work with DNA, RNA proteins and all that cloning stuff The science of molecular biology is changing drastically these days as we can follow how hundreds and thousands of genes are regulated within cells simultaneously. I have also worked and work with diseases but not humans diseases. I work with science everyday and basic science is my love even if I have to do a lot of applied stuff also. Dr. Gunnar
  8. Thank you..Thank you geo1nah2a I simply love it....remarkable that diving does not put more pressure on the watch... I guess body mass should calculate into this also Force = Mass x Acceleration so a big guy could do more damage...and cliff diving can be very painfull....hope I am not on to something here
  9. With MsKing you never know for sure....in her enlish yes is sometlimes no ....her voice is just so sexy
  10. and be forced to make a frankenwatch to avoid losing a bet like that we have to hav a hope..without hope we are no more
  11. Shes a french artsy movie loving flaming liberal..who would have tonk it....how truly misunderstood she is
  12. You certainly have a strong argument going there The Zigmeister...you know what you are talking about ...I guess a future asian copy is our only possible but slim hope
  13. The one and only RWG Limitcd cdition prototype from MsKing is now defogged and safe I went to the lab and used the machine used to dry gels...put the temperature to 45C (heated perforated metal mesh to place a gel or in this case that watch on) and turned on the vacum pump for 15 minutes. The exessive moisture is now gone. This is what the apartus looks like...gel dryer and small vacum pump
  14. Come on Jonathan some Valgranges have chronograph function...obviously there is some resemblance but it is closer to 28XX ETA than to the Valjoux Is a ship justa large car without wheels????
  15. I think you are both mistaken. Sorry! ETA is here to stay and so is the Valgranges....within 3 years I think we will see a Valgranges (or at least anASIAN copy) in a replica
  16. OK! OK! I am on my way to the watch store........what was the price of that ORIS again?
  17. @gioarmani @ubiquitous @V Thank you for the feedback..i will get it dry I have the possibility to place the watch in a close to a vaccum...I have a vacum pump....would that do? or is it dangerous..will the oil evaporate also
  18. Thank you for that kind and instuctive helping hand in time of distress V BTW I like primates
  19. SWISSARMYKNIFE has them so has Maurice LaCroix Ponts Chronographe Valgranges
  20. I think LONGINES are using them in some new watches so should be possible its all about the money...they can do what 7750 can and maybe more and more reliably
  21. I was wearing my RWG watch on my way to work today when its started pouring dogs and cats (= raining heavily)..I was baiking and biking pretty fast too Now my watch has started fogging up ...it even has a screw in crown ..how did the moisture get in there?????????????????...did I wash my hands too well?????..It is unbeleivable...water resistant my ass.....I wonder what I can do now I have the crown open and hope my body heat will make the water evaporate...crasy
