  1. You forgot to mention Iran and North Korea....such wonderful success our men are having all over the world ...guess who killed Yasir Arafat
  2. DEPLOYANT!!!!!!!!clasp for a resonable prize http://www.strappedfortime.com/DeployantClasps.html gran
  3. Breguet is one of the very best but the XX is not the watch i am looking for @Kollektor JLC is a good bet...most are 4.000+ but JLC is definetly something I like @maxse That Zenith is certainly high up on the list @tourby Your Enlish is so cute and the posts on this site would be so funny in German..or hillarious in French I will be going to the Max Planck institute in Jena sometimes in the fall...will fly to BERLIN and rent a car and drive up to Jena..maybe i could meet tou on the way?
  4. Obviously there is nothing wrong with people that are homosexual Certainly some of us are a little "homophobic"....but its just because we are a little unsecure about our own sexuality Lets have an open mind...we like people that like watches regardless of their sexual preferences (with some obvious exeptions of bthose that are illegal and despicable....) Regards Gunnar Freud
  5. Of all the high-end luxury wristwatches available to the well-healed and/or self indulgent gay man the Cartier Santos stands out. Gay men seem drawn to its design in disproportionate numbers. You
  6. Beleive me you deserve all the praise PIX......you are a true and watch crazy RWG member
  7. You sure tempt me tourby but to make such a deal I would have to meet you in person...how far from my country do you live?....btw I love your accent best wishes Gunnar From Norway
  8. I have been waiting to buy this VC for ages now...probably will get it one day. Great to see that its so close to the genuine. Thanks for the review. Regards Gunnar
  9. That is one great shinny collection you are a true collector PIX, well organised and neat too Thank you for sharing Happy timekeeping Gunnar Gran
  10. Since I am not an US citizen I will not state that Gore should have won the election in FLORIDA back then..you know but even so I am not absolutely sure the world would have been in better shape by now than under the present reign of baby BUSH That being said there is no doubt that we have to take better care of this world than we do at present...Bioenergy might be one way of doing it...handing out free condoms might be another...but for sure we have to somehow reduce or energyconsumption and use of space on this wonderful planet Norwegian fjord as it looks at the present
  11. Yes I am the AP JA, JLC , VC, OMEGA, IWC, LONGINES type of watch lover but certainly I love a range of different watches as well....for example the spring drive is something I crave I also have an inclination toward erotic watches as and for some reason NIVREL has a certain attraction for me...as well as Svend Anderson watches...the list goes on So hard to make a choice....but remember this is a watch I should be able to wear every day. I am a scientist and not a business/office man.. love the outdoors and even get my hands dirty now and then.... so that has to go into the equation when deciding on a daily beater
  12. A ZENITH certainly fils all the criteria I have Great suggestion as I have not been thinking abut that possibility. I am not updated on the ZENITHprices so I'll have to dig into that luisik..or were you proposing me to buy a used/vintage one?
  13. good input TeeJay However nice those Russian watches may be (and the one you showed is a real beauty) I must admit that I am not likely to get one Regards Gunnar
  14. Not a bad idea at all Wonder how expensive this SINN is or is there a better one? g.
  15. Now that is a great proposition I will certainly consider the "SPRING DRIVE". I guess its around $4000 for a brand new one. Wonder if a SEIKO SPRING DRIVE or a CREDO SPRING DRIVE is the better buy or ven better the hand wound version A Credor Skeleton Manual Wind Masterpiece http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbmKZ5JXyjo
  16. Sure looks great but again youre above $4.000 ..stop tempting me tourby
  17. If Nanuq was Japanese this is the kind of watches I think he would dream about Follow this link to Tokunaga watch museum http://www.tokunaga.ne.jp/en/museum/list.html
  18. @tourby BENZINGER is certainly something i will consider even so it looks like we are movein toward prices that are too steep lets keep it $4000 and down...please tourby you are making my mouth water
  19. In house movement would be great even if they in this price category likely will just be modifications in opr ontopof ETA movement....give me a hint of what inhouse movements you are thinking of Jetsons regards Gunnar
  20. Your blind or maybe just too hetro
  21. How right you are and Asian Swiss says it all
  22. I have been thinking the same thing for years...it is probably the best to buy a watch that does not drop in value My point is not that I am not first and foremost afraid that people will think its a rep....my new watch simply has to have complications that one is not likely to find in a replica if not I might as well buy a replica...its not only about the looks.....see the difference? MVH Gunnar
  23. Exellent suggetsions all around @dec I love those BENZINGERS and would consider this one even if its "uncomplicated". Its my kind of watch naked and spectacular..but not sure if it qualifies for being a daily beater as it is so stylish @Stephane That is one stunning JLC but again its not fit to be a daily beater...great a dinner parties @Sir Ken Berg Wyler Vetta like LONGINES|have great looking affordable watches.... @tigerdaytona That ORIS sure is desireable ..but the orange even if modest is not my style..would be great to wear during the summer while boating @Dani Du har god smak Daniel. You impress me. You have developed your taste in a direction that is laudable. That JLC is worth having and certainly fit all my criteria..only down side is the day/date setup that reduces my desire for this watch. @Nanug (Bob) Sure I can do better and YOU know very well I would never wear a ROLEX it would be like asking you to buy a SEIKO Landmaster South Pole for use as your daily beater @qwerty4 You got a point there...the search goes on @Everythingape That Ulysse Nardin certainly fits the bill...a true high end luxury brand too...its a little to conservative maybe...but maybe...maybe.. Thanks for the input Gunnar
  24. I am saving up for a new daily beater I now have saved up
