  2. What????????????????????????????????????? explain yourself, please
  3. It is inexcusable for scientists to torture animals; let them make their experiments on journalists and politicians. Henrik Ibsen (1828 - 1906) More fitting for RWG would be something like It is inexcusable for members to torture newbies; let them make their experiments on moderators and administrators. Gunnar Gran (1963 - presumed still alive)
  4. If this is a "business built on lies" we are in trouble.....I dont think it is truly so Certainly we have the best dealers anywhere in the known replica universe we are very proud of our dealers and yes I am including (the now presumed assless) TTK in that statement That being said, there is absolutely no acceptable excuse for repeatedly giving blatantly false information about a replica (or about movements) when the person in question should know better
  5. Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, or on internet forums it is the rule. I have only slightly modified this to fit thgis forum...inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche..and it is so true
  6. I like this thread thank you for being so forceful on this topic Pug The reason for giving "misleading" or "untrue" information about a watch is likely in order to charge a higher price or to make people more interested in buying it....quality matters but in some cases the dealer/seller just does know (or even care) if the watch has a bona fide ETA in it or just a nice Asian movement...white lies = money g.
  7. So what is the most intelligent ever said..about human life and progress...in your opinion I'll start with: Never discourage anyone... who continually makes progress, no matter how slow. P.
  8. Not bad ken ...I have some words of wisdom too It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence. or even better Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it. better still Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes. 9. Brødskiver Sjef..vi har niste, matpakke, brødmat, snitter og slikt....men man må til Danmark for å få virkelige "smørrebrød" Literally translated, smørrebrød means "spread [on] bread", and the "spread" is generally laid on to a piece of buttered rye bread (rugbrød), a dense, black bread with many seeds. Pålæg, the topping, then among others can refer to commercial or homemade cold cuts, pieces of meat or fish, cheese or spreads. This is essentially the base on which the art of the famous Danish open sandwich, smørrebrød is created: A slice or two of pålæg is placed on the buttered bread, and then pyntet (decorated) with the right accompaniments, to create a tasty and visually appealing food item. Some traditional examples include: Dyrlægens natmad (translated, Veterinarian's midnight snack) -- On a piece of dark rye bread, a layer of liver paté (leverpostej), topped with a slice of corned beef (salt kød) and a slice of meat aspic (sky). This is all decorated with raw onion rings and cress.
  10. Who cares about marias watches...life is too short to worry about such details when there are pretty ladies like Maria S. around
  11. Today I am wearing the RWG prototype Notice the limitcd cdition.....its a true tribute both to the Railmaster and the replica industry...e = c
  12. So do we have a grasp of value? or do we just want to be fashionable? look richer than we are? Do we care more about the brand name than about quality? I think most replica buyers on RWG have a grasp of value, we love quality and buy replicas because the price on the genuines is rediculus Paying more than 1000 dollars for a watch that has no more complicated function than being a chronograph or showing the date is probably pretty lame ......unless the the genuine is a very collectable watch that can be easily resold for the same or more, in this case it makes more sense to buy the genuine than to get a replica provided one has the money to buy the real deal.... I also think that buying a replica of a complicated perpetual calendar or a repeater does not make much sense since the functions are faux... I am worried that we may care more about the brand name than about quality of the replicas we buy....if this is a good or bad tendency is something that we probably should ponder a littel I have to admit that I somtimes wonder if I should have used my $5000 or so on one genuine watch rather than buying lots of replicas instead but truth is that the high end luxury watches I really want cost more like $10.000 and up........and I like to have lots of watches.....so as long as I have to get along on a Professors salary and still pay my other bills and keep my girls clothed I'll simply have to stick with the replica watches no matter what the reason may be.... Regards Gunnar

  14. I agree 100%. It is not an asian copy of an ETA but it has the same function, fit more or less into the same hole/case and looks similar but not more more than that. Its just hype.
