  1. Well, that's the problem with online deals. You cannot be sure of what you're buying until the package ends up on your desk. For your next purchase, it would be advisable to select the dealers here as they are in good standing. That said, you still would be best served by browsing the internet for information on the watch that you're interested in buying. Without enough information, you could make the same mistake when purchasing from an actual location. You may not get a super rep (especially if you're in the 150$ vicinity) but at least you're going into the purchase with your eyes wide open.
  2. Well, the motto of the rep makers "Have market, will rep."lol
  3. Well, I'm not an expert but from what I could glean from the resources of the internet, the transparent case back is for the standard models. The closed case back with the engreaved Mille Miglia route can be found on the Limited Edition. http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=2552 I hope that helps.
  4. Oh there are a lot of very nice watches out there begging for a proper rep, although if someone were to consider repping the Lange 1, I doubt they could use the excuse "well, there isn't a market for them". lol I'd certainly consider buying one.
  5. It was my pleasure to be of assistance, dadog13.
  6. Darn, my country can only accept walk-ins at the AD. I doubt if they'd give me a copy of their catalogue. I don't look like I could afford their watches. lol
  7. I don't get it as well. Ruins the look of a perfectly good watch, IMHO.
  8. Well, since ufanta is apparently a known entity, is it safe to order from him/her either on ebay or on ioffer?
  9. Nothing better to do. lol Brand PATEK PHILLIPE BEYER-ZURICH Patek Phillipe Model Name Carat Rubber Manual Wind Screw Back Small Seconds Movement Caliber 12-120 Production Age 1940 Age Production Reference Number 96 Movement Serial 828620 Case 18K YG Make Case Serial 295618 Case Diameter Size (Sutra?) 31mm Belt (Band) width 18mm letter board original condition Belt (Band) non original Beauty Lock 18K YG Original In addition disassembly cleaning adjustment end
  10. As is this one 2008 Panerai Catalogue
  11. We have a magazine here in the Philippines which is all about watches and it's name is Calibre (most likely pun intended lol). The latest issue featured the IWC Father and Son watches.
  12. Looks to be like the five faces are digital, although the presence of 5 separate adjust crowns is strange (maybe faux mech, digital actually).
  13. Well, in that case, that makes them even better deals. It's like cutting out the middleman (but it might also mean cutting out QC so that's a risk to consider).
  14. It is quite fortunate for me that my circle of acquaintances' knowledge of watches is limited. But even if someone were to point out inaccuracies in my rep, it wouldn't mean anything to me. I bought the rep because it was inexpensive compared to the gen of course, but also because it looked good.
  15. Found these on the internet while looking for a good deal. lol AP ROO Secs @ 12 and @ 6!!! Tag Heuer - Link Tiger Woods Glashutte Corum Admiral's Cup PAM Flyback IWC Kurt Klaus Romain Jerome Titanic-DNA Tourbillon Automatic Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Calendar (with dual time at the back!!!) U-BOAT Classico 45 As you can see from the pics, they are "almost" replicas. The only difference being the brand tags haven't been completed or even applied yet. Pretty inexpensive since they can be had for less than 100$.
  16. That last Bvlgari watch was the one Robert Downey Jr. used in Iron Man. cool.
  17. from this site (I'm not sure if this is a Gen site) http://www.timeway.eu/Longines/Sport-Colle...HydroConquest-V The general apperance looks spot on. I'm not sure about the marking beside the date (too small to make out). And the non-black dots on the bezel should be white and not the same color as the bezel.
  18. I'm not by any means a rep expert, just basing on Angus' site. The only discernible difference from the spec sheet is the lack of AR for the Lite version (the non-Lite has double AR). However, you can get single AR applied just for an additional 20$, relatively inexpensive. The confusing thing is the site sometimes uses the same images for the Lite and Non-Lite version. For example, for the Frappuccino, the only difference in image is in the front image, to show the difference between double AR and no AR. However, for the HBB Ice Bang, the images are completely identical (although the spec difference is still the lack of any AR for the Lite one). The difference in the price varies from as little as 180$ to a whopping 700$. There may be more "improvements" to the more expensive version but really up to you if you feel the 700$ difference is justified.
  19. You can find them at the dealers websites (trusty's site to name just one). Ships to Canada. The watch is called the IWC Portugese 7-Days.
  20. Here's the link Top Chronographs And another list for dress watches. Top Dress Watches
