When will someone ever make a UPO with an Omega logo that doesn't suffer from "clown feet"!!!! Can it really be that difficult for them to copy that right?

I don't have a store near me that sells Omega watches so I can't check this out for myself. My question is, of the following three watches, which ones come with AR coating from Omega (gen watches): Planet Ocean, SMP, Aqua Terra. All?? From reading RWG it seems that the Planet Ocean comes with heavy AR. I have a SPM (rep) and I'm thinking of getting the crystal AR coated but I only want to do so it the gen has the same coating. Thanks!!

....if this helium escape valve is the complete set or just the valve head? Has anyone ordered it? Genuine Omega Valve Pusher Stainless Steel 086ST0061 I ask because it says "pusher"; it's not clear that it is the whole thing. I'm looking to swap off my fake valve with a real one. Does anyone know what the real clasp number is for the SMP? My rep says 1502/824 on it but Otto's site's 1502/824 is too narrow (18 mm vs 20 mm). Therefore, I don't think mine is really a 1502/824. http://www.ofrei.com/page666.html

Ahhh, perhaps the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Maybe he shipped one of his last bezels to Ukmerctechie and when his stock ran out, he dipped into his cr@ppy bezels hoping no one would be the wiser.

Here's a picture of the pearl on the bezel I got. Hopefully the new one the guy sends me will be more accurate. This looks awful. Not only is the pearl too big and not positioned correctly, it is white and doesn't even glow. It looks like a drop of milk.

Imranbecks, Did you get your bezel? If so, how was it? I just got mine from the ebay seller and the pearl is way too big and at the bottom of the triangle. Nothing like what was shown in the ebay photo. I'm sending it back.

The gen case back makes the watch thinner. In fact, with the stock movement, the gen case back wouldn't fit...it hit the rotor. However, with real ETA 2824 movement in there, it closed right up. I'm convince that the stock movement was not a gen 2824 (it was supposed to be). As stated above, the dimensions were wrong. It looked similar but didn't "feel" the same at all and it was thicker. The new movement is 2 seconds fast every 24 hours (without any adjustments) and it is soooo smooth when the rotor turns or when you turn the dial to either wind it or set the date/time.

I'm also interested in modding the PO with gen parts. Therefore, any PO I get must be the right size, etc. With this in mind, who has purchased a PO that is the most accurate, accepts gen parts, and is from a good dealer?

So who sells the most accurate Planet Ocean (big size)?

To clean the inside of the crystal, you'll need to remove the movement, which isn't too difficult if you have the right tools. You'll need to remove the case back, remove the stem and crown, and lastly remove the two screws and plates that hold the movement in. After that, it will fall right out. I posted a rebuild of my SMP on this site a couple of days ago. It will walk you through this.

My workplace was clean and I used canned air to blow off the parts. Regarding the watch case & crystal, I rinsed it in denatured alcohol and then wiped it down with lint free paper towels. Even still, when examining under a loupe, I still saw dust. Boy, it's tough to get everything dust free!

I just ordered a new bezel insert with a correctly placed pearl (rep insert). I'm thinking of possibly replacing my crystal with a gen so I'll have the antireflective coating on the surface or replacing the HE valve with a gen valve, but we'll see. The new movement is incredible. When winding it, it is as smooth as buttah! Plus, without any adjustment yet, it only looses 2 seconds a day! It feels so much tighter than the "ETA 2824 movement" that came with the watch.....it's like night and day. Additionally the lume on the dial and hands is incredible. You can see it glow when you are not even in a dark room. To give you an idea how bright it is, I held it up to a light bulb for maybe 30 seconds then I went into a pitch black room. I could actually read newsprint when I held the watch crystal an inch from the paper.

Several weeks ago I received a Sea Master Professional from TrustyTime. The watch was visually impressive and kept good time. However, there seemed to be something wrong with the movement; the rotor would spin and deplete all the energy from the mainspring if the watch was held in a horizontal position. To Andrew

What size bezel did you get? Was it the 41mm?

....can I find a bracelet for my SMP that has pins and not screws?? I've been told that the one with pins looks/feels more like the gen bracelet.
