  1. Funny thing with the watch in my first picture, the Titus, those were actually manufactured by Omega and sold more cheaply under the brand name Titus.
  2. I've buffed out all the minor scratches but there is one scratch that's too deep. The rest of the watch is mint. I'm being picky because you can only see the scratch from a foot away, and that's if you really look. This bezel appears to be pressed on or something. I don't want to try too hard to remove it and damage something. I just don't know how easy it is to remove (fyi - I've removed other rotatable bezels many times, e.g. SMP).
  3. I have a gen Aqua Terra and there is a ring of sorts that surrounds the crystal. Anyway, it is a little scratched and I would like to replace it. It doesn't appear to be part of the main watch case. Does anyone know if the ring pops out of the case like this watch?? This watch looks a little like an Aqua Terra. My Aqua Terra looks just like this: If it does pop out, then the next question is where can I buy another one? Otto doesn't seem to carry it.
  4. I love my BR02. I was comparing it to a gen in a jewelery store and it is spot on. The only give aways, and you have to have the watches side by side is the bezel, dial, and hands are a little bit off, but not by much. I would love to replace at least the dial and the hands with gens.
  5. Pugwash - Did you notice if the crystal presses in and out like a "normal" watch? The faceplate on the watch doesn't have to come off, does it? I have a rep BR02 and I want to send the crystal out for AR. FYI - I've done some extensive Googling and I can't find anyplace that sells gen parts for this watch.
  6. Thanks for the link to RC Tritec. However, do they sell just small portions of the paint? I only want to paint several hands.
  7. I'm looking to touch up the hands on some of my watches with luminous paint. Has anyone ever tried this paint? link to paint It's not cheap, so I would like to know from someone if it works well (e.g. glows brightly). BV5680G07 is the model of paint I'm interested in.
  8. I have a replica BR02 and I'm wondering if the crystal pops out like other watches or does the "face plate" hold it on?
  9. Does anyone know where I can buy genuine parts (hands & dial) for a Bell & Ross BR-02 rep?
  10. After doing more research myself, if one wants to upgrade movement to gen ETA, it is best to start off with a rep with a cheap ETA clone. That way, since the gen movement will be the same size, the old components will still fit (dial, hands, etc.). You can then replace them with gen components one at a time if desired.
  11. Pictures do not do the AQ justice, especially those on Omega's website. Mine has the black laquered face and everything else is silver. In bright light it shines like a diamond. It makes a wonderful dress watch.
  12. Where can I find the best Railmaster rep? Currently I own a gen Aqua Terra (quartz), a hybrid SMP, and a total rep PO. I have to say, the Aqua Terra (which has a black face) is totally sublime. For such a "plain" watch, it is really flashy. I also have a gen Bulova Spaceview circa 1967 (a tuning fork watch). I assume the Railmaster got it's name from being used by conductors on trains. Is that right? Otherwise, what the heck does the name mean?
  13. ...the most spot on? I know Bytor has a pinned topic on this, but it is now 3 years old. I don't care about the model, I just want to know from the experts which Omega rep is the most accurate (looks, functionality, etc.). It seems each rep, no matter how good or how much, always has some fatal flaws (hands too short, crown guard not quite right). Railmaster, Seamaster, PO, AquaTerra, I don't care, just let me know which is the closest to the real thing and where can it be purchased?
  14. You may be right. Perhaps I'll keep this as a daily beater and someday go with an UPO. We'll see...... I did order Narikaa's rubber strap, though. BTW, what is "sead territory"?
  15. I'm thinking of upgrading my new Narikaa 42mm PO with an ETA 2824-2 movement and gen hands. Eventually, I would like to upgrade to a gen dial, but that's too expensive for now. Anyway, this watch came with DG 2813 movement (which is actually a good movement). Does anyone know if I can swap the date wheel from this movement to the 2824-2? If not, any ideas where I can find a gen date wheel that will fit the 2824-2? I looked on Otto's website but I can't find a date wheel for a PO. BTW, for under $100 USD, Narikaa's PO can't be beat!!!
  16. Does anyone know what calibre this watch equates to? I'm thinking of getting some genuine parts for it but I want to ensure they fit.
  17. A number of people have said to replace the dial with a dial from Silix. However, Silix's site only sells whole watches. Does anyone know how to buy just the dial??
  18. Does anyone know if the hand stem sizes are the same as the gen (Hand sizes 90/150/25)? I would like to replace the hands on my rep with gen hands.
  19. Thanks for the info. I've bought many items from Otto. Do you recall the exact part number of the dial you used to order from Otto?
  20. Takashi, Where did you buy the dial & hands? What was the part or model numbers? Thanks!!
  21. Hi, I have a spaceview 214 from 1968 and I love it. What a beautiful watch and a great conversation item.
