my prefferred sport is to make franken... i can only tell that to buy a val72 two years ago cost me 400 euro....now i can find them about at 700-800 euro ... same story with 1520 and 1030... these vietnam case as for the Phong ones are simply perfect... this is the reason why i will continue to spend for them... anybody go to Ho Chi Minh city, on Hai Ba Trung street?

a very good work... it was a bit of time that i was away from the forum.... some friends has told to me to come back and see your watch... could you take some pics about the movement inside the case? the only thing i can suggest it's a fine "aging" of the dial.... you can use intense smoke.... or similar.... the dial seems to be more "new" than the yellow hands.... i'm agree about T19... it's a great work...

never? my personal suggest... go there ... this is the paradise...(not cheap...) ... this kind of meeting is the only serious place to make friendship about gen watches and spare parts.... for people that have in mind watches and relates ... this place is not an option....it's a must.... my best contacts come out from these events i'm fully agree with the definition of " outrageous prices"....but when i see these auctions i remember that ebay is not the only source.... more ...there are many strange things on the bay.....if there is some one that mask something else with an overload value we can't know.... for example try to immagine a money washer..... how you can wash money with ebay? ....selling with an overload value..... these example are not suitable with this auctions...obviously....but.... could be... i suggest to search a val 726 ...it's one of the last version...and it could be modded by an expert watchmaker to seems more similar to a 727 or a 723..... the choice is your M

i have no caseback yet for the new case i have... and i want to wait to find one gen.... yes one gen.... cause you must know that some time ago people arround the world didn't like 5517....everybody transformed their 5517 into 5512...or 5513... so it's possible to find some gen case back (with real numbers.... ) and some gen dials.... last time i found a gen case back the seller wanted 1500 euro.... so i passed....in USA one of my watch-friends has bought one for 500 $....... gen as the one i saw before.... for the 1520 cal. i've found it here... cheap... to fix... but it's not a problem... now i need only the caseback and some others little things.. i think that if i manage from the starting to spend so many i could think to buy one .....from a "modder" king of franken..

it's one of my preferred same problem some time ago with mine ... the solution was to review entirely the project... actually i have found a (very expensive) rebuilded case...but looking to the costs of this project and to all the gen spare parts that i have i decided to look for a gen 1520 cal. ... at the end ...another franken.... i found this case in exchange expo of watches.... i know that next to Dallas there is one important watch expo.... perhaps you can find some similar... before this my watchmaker was trying to mod the case to allow to a custom retaining ring to be assembled to let the bezel turn only with a vertical pressure (as the gen...) ...but it was an hard work.... so i stopped him... the only part i need now is a very good case back... the engraving must be better than the one i have....

agree for the dial but without the second hand the MBW one is more similar to the vintage jumbo and this was my intent....mixing dials could be a good idea... anybody know the price of these from josh? for the crown of this new one... it's terrible...i confirm for the dot problem could be interesting to take it off (as for the second one) it's not a difficult mod to make... cause is only painted.... however we knows they are only reps ...but my upgrading session of ony reps i hown start from the will i want to make them more similar.... the only facts is that it's better starting from a good case than starting from a wrong one...but if must buy two different of them to mix them to have one closer to the gen it's not a problem a little bit info for all jumbo 3700 haven't the second hand......3700 = hour/min 3700 is 42mm from '70/'80 has the movement projected by jaeger (same movement of royal oak...) 3800 is tiny 37mm ... it has a patek movement 5711 is 43mm is the new one has a differt case with glass on the back.... these are the gen 3700 jumbo

the crown of these ones are terrible !! hahahah really terrible!! i've got a lot of time ago the MBK one from a really good man .....( tnks another time leo.... you are in my mind...) the MBW one is different ( the case... the back.... the crown...) after taking off the second hand become a really good replica... no more modding required for me ( i could only think to change the movement with a better one...cause the eta inside have no soul....) try to find a better one... M

Angel & Jay are ok... they are one of my preferred dealer.... i can tell that every time i have had some problem they have fixed every things . you can also ask them for items outside their website ... they would try to find what you want ... in the past i have taken one silix sub with nikel refined movement.... impressive... i suggest the one with the red wheel.... if you are based in europe silix know how to do to reach you with no problem.... jus ask to him... M

i'm glad you found the dial ... i can only suggest to try to find a 1036 rolex cal. (eheheheh)...the case is fine my project is still sleeping ....but looking these pics i've decided it will be the next to be completed....first new step to buy a home CNC machine....
