As with toad I also got the moo croc with deploant and like it. Also got a rubber with tang as well and passed on ther bracelet. Great watch with either, you'll love it. Got mine from peter at iwatchstation and service was fantastic.

Sorry to bore all the oldtimers with this but may be of some help to the other noobs. Ordered my first rep "A/S" from Peter at Iwatchstation approx 1 month ago. Communication was excellent as all emails were answered promptly and patiently. Watch was sent out immediately complete with tracking #. Here's where the major problem occured through no fault of Peter, watch got "stuck" in Customs for approximately 22 days before I recieved a letter from Customs requesting an invoice or ebay# for Brei---ing watch. Also stated that if no compliance the watch will be disposed of in the required manner by returning to sender. In the meantime, after approx. 20 days Peter sent me a replacement watch which arrived the same day I recieved the letter from Customs (4 days from Peter to my wrist). Very happy with the watch and the service I recieved, don't think it can get much better than this. No hesitation from Peter and he was the one that suggsted/sent the new watch without me even asking for it. All I did was inform him that it was still in Customs and he sent the other watch. Great guy. Anyways I imagine my best move would be to ignore the letter from Customs and hopefully they'll return to sender. Will order again now that I have the first under my belt so to say, and of course I'll use Peter for the next purchase. One more question now for the experienced on the site: as I'm not familiar with the deployant buckle can somebody please post or direct me to a post that shows the proper use of the deployant clasp. If I just slide it through the under side bar the strap continues to work its way loose. Should I be putting the strap through both slots on te deployant clasp? DUH? Thanks for the help. Thank-you for the reply Freddy. I got the date back somehow and it has now changed over to the next day at midnite, so I'm hoping everything is ok. I'll wait untill 8:00 am to try and set the time and to set the date. Best Regards. xword

Trying to set the time on my new aveng/sky. thought I was just setting time but it seems that date now stuck between two numbers. Pulled out crown to first click but hands don't move. Time on watch was 7:20 don't know if am or pm as can't get hands to move. Being very careful and not wanting to screw it up any worse, but maybe it's too late. Also assuming that this watch is a screw down crown? Any help appreciated. Already have been reading the tutorials, but that's what got me in this mess inb the first place. Thanks for any reply.

I myself am in the market for a used gen, but haven't seen a noticable drop in prices. All of the people that I've come across with used watches for sale still seem to think that their watches are worth almost what you can get a new one for from an AD. It's my impression that used jewellery/watches don't hold their value that well in a recession. So either these people lower their expectations along with their prices or they're going to be living with their watches for some time to come I suspect. Just my opinion though.

I've got a gen steel and gold cartier panthere that I was wearing at a large social function and "some know it all yahoo" jeweller said he could spot a fake anywhere. I took the watch off and let him examine it. He declared it was a fake to which I replied, "nope, its genuine." He looked a little sheepish, but it just goes to show you that most of the people and especially the so called "experts" don't know the difference unless they're very well versed with that particular watch brand and model. Also I live in a very small Northern community in Canada and most people here haven't even heard about Cartier. My suspicion about this guy was that he had never even seen a Cartier up close and was just trying to impress the circle of people at the table. He would have called any watch a fake to make his point.

I've got a Cartier Panthere "large men's" watch that looks good. This is a small watch by crono comparisons but is a dressier watch and looks good in that setting. Looking down at it, it seems kind of small but when I catch a glimpse of it in a reflection or see my bro's on him it looks fine. BTW I'm 6' and 175lbs med build. Don't think a large person could pull it off as well, might look small then.

Let me get this straight, you mean to tell me if I own a Rolex, I am unable to sell it on ebay? That's absurd. Maybe gray market sellers, but not private individuals. I don't remember ever signing any disclosure saying that I'd own any watch for life. Sounds like they just want a piece of everybody's action. Boo Hoo WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Big Rolex baby want num num($$$).

Yeah it is crazy especially for a 1st timer but my lucks been a little crappy as of late. Good news is that Peter has reshipped and gave me knew tracking #. Don't think I'll track this one though, just wait for it to suprise me at my door. Don't wnat to jinx the second shipment. As long as it's only the watch that shows up at my door, if you know what I mean.

Although I have the utmost respect for toad I'm not sure about the customs issue from my personal experience.. 1st order stuck in Customs for 13 days seems slightly eccessive to me. This is my 1st order and it's like winning the lottery if this is an unusual occurrence in this country. Just my luck. Dealer is great and offered to resend by end of the week if no change, just wouldn't want to lose 2nd one this way as well. We'll see what happens. Good luck in your endeavors.

Still waiting for my first rep stuck in customs 13 days might never see it, but if quality is bad as you say , then I would agree and only purchase gen watch.. even 1 gen has to be more satisfying than 10 poor quality reps. But again I'm not speaking from experience as no reps yet. Might change my opinion after seeing a "good" rep. Fingers crossed.
