  1. The Perfect Clones version (aka the cartel version) of the PAM 164 that you linked to is better than the DSN version. Perfect Clones is a very reliable site. the DSN version is cheaper by about $80... Go for it!
  2. They make this piece o sh!t and can't make a non chrono Fifty Fathoms???? Flabbergasting!
  3. DSN is a good one. PWC is good especially to get your feet wet ($99 111h and $99 127)
  4. I agree that the lonestar mesh is very nice, I have it on my SOH: But I also have the cheapy ones from ebay and they aren't half bad...here is one (22mm) on a UPO:
  5. Nice pick up on those. For the price, it can't be beat. I've ordered a couple myself, but one was a custom build, so I will wait a little. I paid $201 shipped EMS to the USA for both of mine.
  6. jt Another homage site I am currently trying: getat
  7. DSN and JT are at complete opposite ends of the spectrum. DSN makes nice watches and good parts and you pay the price... Jackson Tse has mediocre stuff, but at a good price. They are both good values but you get what you pay for.
  8. Use a place that has nice bright, diffuse natural light (or light box) so that you can turn off the flash. Make sure you are on "Macro" Mode (little flower) and focus properly (your pics are blurry because the focus is on the back ground, not foreground). A nice editing software like picase (free!) will let you edit your pix like a pro. My lightbox from ebay: I use a 6MP point and shoot camera for my wristshots (macro and flash off) and I use a Canon Rebel XT DSLR with a 100mm Macro lens for most everything else... (I only tripod for lume shots) Another trick is use something black to reflect into the crystal (for dark dials with poor or no AR) to eliminate unwanted glare or reflection
  9. Actually, I think Speedy wouldn't mind one hanging out with him at his workshop (as long as you bring some beer..)
  10. Here are mine: ODG Nato with PVD hardware Panatime faux kevlar Custom ball glove strap from the marvelous paolo18
  11. Sexy!!!! Nice work S.!! Lots of brutal combos in this thread..
  12. Any vintage sub... look for member sales to find a nice one at the right price. Daytonas always scare me because of the jacked up movement Eurotimez isn't anything special anymore. Others I would look at are a Deep Sea, GMT, Milgauss, or Yachtmaster
  13. Well, I welcome you here.. please read the noobguides available and don't be afraid to use the search function. Also, the best sub is made by Rolex- Har-de-Har-Har. (how did I do?)
  14. I'll recommend Paolo18.... paolo18 he has made 2 incredibly high quality straps for me...
  15. Nice collection there.... But more importantly, did you scan through your neighbor's flash card yet.
  16. PAM 288 on StrapWorks Grey Croc 27/22
  17. PAM 172 Lani--- love the braided G10, please reveal the source....
  18. I reported it as well... I look like a slightly modded rep, with the tall cannon pin. CG=bad, Movement is an Asian clone, dial=bad, so on, etc...
  19. 288 Like all the great vintage Rolex and the awesome Panerai this week
  20. The bottom line was the question "Is timeshop.net reputable?" The answer in my opinion is yes, because I have, like I said purchase 5 or 6 watches from Mark and have had an excellent experience everytime. When there have been hiccups (which happen with every dealer), he rectified the situation immediately. There seems to be lots of extra curricular stuff with the admins purchase... maybe there was too high of an expectation from them, maybe Mark felt he was being taken advantage of... So, of course, the truth lies somewhere in the middle, I am sure.
