  1. I think my love of timepieces is wearing off onto my family now. My mum has expressed how she adores the vintage Omega Seamasters, for their simplicity and also due to the history that they come with. I mentioned to her how nice Longines watches are, and she saw this piece for sale and decided to buy it to replace her old Argos quartz watch. I don
  2. Looks pretty good, here's hoping they release the White version of the MMD, this is a little OTT for me!
  3. Apparently Eddie is working on making a few other watches at the moment, hopefully he will get round to making the 14 again at some point because it is a real beauty! I have read excellent things about his watches, top build quality that you would expect of Omega/Rolex etc... for a lot less!
  4. If you like the vintage BP FF check out the PRS-50; http://www.timefactors.com/precista.htm

I wondered where Keanu Reeves had been for the past few years
  6. Or go through BK who is adding the final touches to them to make them the best Sub around
  7. Try Silix, it looks like on his website that they're still available. Beware that the movement is very bad in those watches though, which is a shame because the 3714 is one of the most beautiful watches around!
  8. Looks incredible. I saw Italiano's the other day and thought it was genuine, this one is no different. It really is among the best SA's out there, wear it well!
  9. Very nice collection! The quality of the finish on the Pam movements is outstanding!
  10. With a watch with a dial as complicated as that, I wouldn't worry too much, the datewheel font is the last thing anyone other than us nitpickers would notice!
  11. I agree, it looks like the Silix version. Whatever version it is though, it certainly isn't Omega's
  12. They can be had from AuthenticWatches for US$2175 (Steel). There is also a Rose Gold version for US$4795. Pictures of it really don't do this watch justice, it is very very nice in the flesh.
  13. Since trying one of these on, I think the Omega Deville Prestige is one of the most beautiful dress watches out there. Ok the Brand isn't as highly regarded as A&L, GO VC or the like, but for the price it is a beautifully crafted watch with a great movement.
  14. It would actually have been impossible from the time I clicked that link to have read 51 pages. 51 pages in a few minutes, Im good, but not that good
  15. I prefer the look of the sandwich dial ,personally, and yes they are much easier to lume!
  16. To me the top picture looks like the rep that comes with the quartz movement, the bottom one has the 7750 movement spacing. If you order 7750 movement, you'll get the bottom one.

    BP Issue

That's what AR looks like when it has been against something abrasive. I would let your dealer know, it might have been poorly packaged before sending out.
  18. My mistake, thats meant to read..... 'about purchasing a gen' Try Timezone, or Ebay for some bargains at the moment.
  19. This is perfectly true of grey market reps, so don't worry about that, however, it does mean the value is less, and therefore I would not be paying 700 potato chips, wotsits, or whatever currency you are talking about (presuming USD). Exactly, resale value of a grey market, especially without papers or box is very low. As Pug has said walk away from this one. The best advice about purchasing a rep, if you want it buy it, if you're not 100% sure, then you need to wait before you purchase it. Flipping gen watches can get costly.
  20. Is that USD? 600USD would be my maximum, I think you could haggle him lower. Which version of the ltd ed are you after, the newer 2226.80 with Co-axial movement is quite expensive!
  21. Good god no, I just clicked a random page and that came up.
  22. A quartz SMP without box and papers...I wouldn't go over
  23. You'd be surprised! I've seen IWC, and Rolex's with much worse QC than that There is a post recently about the Big Ingy missing a lume strip floating around here somewhere too.
