Your decision shouldn't be based on whether or not there is a rep available. Out of the two I would go for the Pam111.
The reasons for this are
1) You can wear it everyday
2) You can change strap combinations on this from rubber to leather to make it a very versatile sports'classy looking watch
3) It's at the lower end of your budget so you have some left to put towards the IWC at Christmas
There are some fantastic replica's available of this watch, but there is nothing quite like wearing a gen!

It's like one of those illusions, where you have to concentrate to see the picture within. After 10minutes, I recognised that classic Submariner shaped thing on the wrist

Yes you will start to feel some resistance when you near the end. I never wound mine til it would physically go no more. I think on mine it was approx 60-65 turns

I have a slight mark on my GMT crystal (2234.50.00), and can't find a replacement for it, either rep or gen (from Ofrei). Does anyone know if another crystal from the Seamaster range will fit this? Here's a pic of said watch.....

It's a brilliant show! Would love to see a Sylar watch rep too! I'm in the UK but have been watching it here, a great source if want to re-watch, or watch any of the episodes for the first time.

Not alot you can say if it is a very bad replica. If it is a bad replica like that, I don't hink there is much else that can be said!
It's very hard when someone is wearing a blatant fake. I have a friend who wears a Breitling Bentley canal street special, I try not to look at it, because if I get caught I don't want to get into a discussion about Breitlings. Another friend of mine also wears an asian PO, maybe 3rd gen, and he passes it off as genuine, I just go along with it, as a close friend to me, I haven't the heart to call him out.

No it's a version that Tag did release. Can't see from the pic, but the gen has very pronounced sub dial rings. Looks pretty good though!
