  1. I have done some "old" movements swaps and so far no problems, dial will fit ....but If you are talking about the new"swiss" movement with the "correct" fat arrow regulator thats another story because the dial retention screws in the "new" movement will not match the old dial. vaccum

  12. Many of the members asked if they can do it...so I am posting some pics to show how I do it...THIS IS MY WAY OF DOING IT. This is the watch a 177h from Joshua Crown Guard and strap removed Next back case removal Once the case back is removed make shure you unwind the barrel do it slowly to prevent any damage, hold the wratchet with the screwdriver and let the crown turn slowly between your fingers Now is time to remove the crown locate this screw ...remember to tighten it after crown is removed Locate the retaining clip and screw and remove it with your tweezers Be carefull not to drop it! Now is time to remove your movementfrom the case Place the movement on the movement holder replace the crown and remove hands locate the two screws that hold your dial in place, 1/2 turn and dial is off Now is time to remove the spring, cannon pinon and hour wheel Here are the two parts to compare longers are the new ones, shorter the old ones Old New Now do everything in reverse order and you get this results Thanks for watching! vaccum
